We can't get the old one off!** A: Brute force! Angle the head as if squeezing out water, and try sliding the base (blue plastic) of the sponge towards the open end of the folded sponge. It IS difficult.. To use 'brute force' pull the sponge from the base unit, and you'll see the two base plates. Lift and slide away, you'll see the direction, if you take a look at the new sponge attachment. Fitting is relatively easy, as it simply clips in.
