(I like to run about 4-6 miles 3-4 days a week.) I tore my patellar tendon 8 months ago and have been trying to get back into running. I have tried Newton Fate's which are really good for short (<2 miles) speed workouts, but my knee would hurt after 2 miles. I then tried Altra One2. While those were like running on clouds, they broke down quickly (<100 miles on them). They also didn't have much 'spring' to them, so I felt like I had to really lift my foot. The Hoka's are exactly what I want. They have an excellent cushion, feel light and springy, and (fingers crossed) people say they last >200 miles. I'll have to see how many miles I can log on them before they need replaced. I did have one problem with the shoe rubbing against my ankle bone. These shoes come with an extra set of inserts. I put the extra insert on top of the ones already in the shoe, and that raised my foot up enough so that it doesn't rub my ankle at all. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars These shoes are so comfortable!
