I want to try it with a pair of Audix scx25a's, wondering if it will warm up the sound.** A: I've used it with both AKG 414s and a TLM103 and was pleased with the unit's ability. They put it up against Pres costing several times more and it actually won praises in several categories. Warning: I bought (2), returned one as non working. Now the second unit is having meter issues. (meter light tuns on and off randomly. **Q: will this work in europe? the picture says 250 volt, but there are some confusing answers by the community...** A: There is no switch but by the power plug input there is a fuse (250V / 0.5A). My best guess is there are EU versions with different fuses for different power loads but I would call ART to be sure. Replaced tubes was easy but watch some YouTube videos first...you can use to much force. Works great all our microphones went from too quiet to too hot if you don't turn it down...a much better problem to have. Slight delay as it warms up when you turn it on from when the microphones go on. We are a24/7 radio station with a bunch of audiophiles as DJs and none of them are complaining...and they will complain believe me. Very satisfied solved several problems for us. We have been using it constantly for about a month...more use than an individual would prob do in a year...zero problems which as the de facto tech guy for the station is enough to make me weep with joy...it's a complex operation and this is something I haven't had to go back to and fix.
