Women's Clare Cape - Wool Alpaca Button Down Jacket with Scarf- Violet

This is handsome, lightweight but warm, and a thoroughly quality-made product. It’s a great piece for wearing over bulky sweaters or blazers that have sleeves that are difficult to stuff into a regular coat. Fantastic for travel; you can use it as a blanket to nap under comfortably on the plane. The scarf attaches to the back of the neckline with three leather-covered buttons and can be jauntily worn as shown or pulled up as a hood. This is my go-to autumn coat.

I just LOVE this Women's Clare Cape. It is so comfortably warm and so easy to put on and to take off. The removable hood is an added bonus on cold, windy days. This will be my favorite cold-weather wrap for many years to come!

I bought this 2nd hand (but in like new condition) on another site from a private party for a fraction of the cost, but I can attest it's very beautiful for this Irish American woman :) I got the purple color, it's a beautiful lavender color and the yarn is thick and soft (it's unlined). It doesn't have any side buttons like some poncho-like capes have but I will probably sew mine shut and put a decorative button over the area I sew. I didn't want the sides open (for heat loss) which is the only down side of this cape.
