Does burt's bees 100% natural moisturizing lip shimmer, champagne contain any amount of aluminum?

Thanks for the question! Please note that we do use alumina (aluminum oxide) as a source of shimmer in some of our lip color products. It is commonly -used in cosmetics and is considered safe for cosmetic use. We have another ingredient that has the word aluminum in it, but it’s actually just the scientific name for clay (magnesium aluminum silicate), which is used in some of our lotions and creams. It does not have spf, but it also does not have paba or parabens. Not having toxic elements in my lipstick or shimmer is more important than spf. They are creamy and go on easily.

Why does it feel tingly or slight burning sensation?

Because it contains peppermint oil among other all natural ingredients that give that tingling sensation.

Long lasting moisture for you lips.

Burt’s lip balm is the best on the market. I’m 79 years old and it has kept my lips from drying out after many long years of usage. Plus they have a hint of color which is an added plus. Please note…I also sometimes use it along with my lipstick. These lip balms are always reasonably priced so they can fit into anyone’s budget!

Great tinted lip balm, was way more pigmented than I was expecting, so beware. A bit too colorful for me, so I tone it down with lighter lip gloss on top.

Definitely Not a Holy Grail

Honestly, it’s not something I would use nowadays. I’d rather use a soft lip balm from a tube than from a stick. I think it’s decent for quick lip prep or as a car balm though.
