It will maintain it's height automatically and will allow you more time to get the hang of the other controls. I have 2 other drones one is less money and one is more and neither of them can do that. This feature makes it much easier to fly. I also like the speed adjust feature as it comes in handy when you hand over the controls to one of your kids.Don't plan on taking it outside on a windy day as this thing is small and it will get tossed by the wind. The only reason i didn't give this drone 5 stars is because the app never worked right for me. I was hoping to be able to pilot this thing with the drone camera and my iphone mounted to the controller. I wanted that birds eye ride along view. The app was a joke if you ask me and the mount was certainly at its limits to try to support my iphone 6s plus. In other words if that is your hope then don't get this drone however if you want an easy drone to learn to fly then this is probably for you.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I bought this kind of half way expecting the camera to work for fpv, both the only thing it serves as is a distraction. If you really were to fly by the camera on the front, your flight would be abruptly cut short. The cell phone mount is useless, as you will soon find the camera useless, serving as a paper weight on the underbelly of the quad.The cell phone app is completely useless, had to use third party app, I don't even remember the name. You can see in my video.There are differences between this and the Holy Stone HS150. Keep in mind Tiny Whoop batteries work in both the HS150 and this quad. This one attempts altitude control by centering the joystick, which is sort of a good thing and a bad thing. Manual flips with the HS150 were fun but you just cannot kill the motors enough to toss this quad without serious trouble. You have to arm the motors, so if you killed them trying acro or disarmed them, you might find it difficult to rearm before having a meeting with the ground.Also, the yaw rate on this quad on max speed is much less than that of the Holy Stone hs150. They fly completely different. It's almost like there two different quads.But the HS150 with a Tiny Whoop 550 mah 12 gram battery is so fun. Plug and play. They come from the same company so who gives a crap. This model, the additional camera is as useless as the cell phone app it was designed for.

This thing is amazing. Not only is it super fast, agile and responsive. But it's dang near indestructible. Last night I crashed in tje house and the drone sank to tje bottom of my fish tank! Pulled it out, shut it off and removed the battery.... Dried it out real well and it still works.... Camera and all! WOW.... I've bought a few and now I ordered one for my wife... She loves it as well.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I wanted a fancy drone that had a camera and I could take pics or videos of cool stuff I did. I found this one and it was really neat. It has a nice big controller so you can just put batteries in and make it work. You can also use your smart phone to control the drone by downloading the app and connecting to the drone’s wifi. Took good photos and videos. Also calibrates itself to help with avoiding erratic flying or drifting.

i love this little drone. i have a couple of small tiny quads to fly indoors but as soon as i flew them outside they were getting blown away by the slightest breeze. This Heliway drone is amazing for inside and outside. The drone has good weight to it and can fly thru the wind well. i also love the 1 key landing feature which is really nice to use but if you dont use the landing feature as soon as the drone lands the motors turn off. the one thing that took me a good minute to figure out was how to arm the drone (both sticks down and out) once i saw that in the instruction manual everything was smooth sailing from there. Dont let the price fool you into thinking its a cheap drone... this is a great drone to have.

Received drone today. We tried to fly it and it would not fly. We calibrated the drone to the controller and it still wouldn't work.

The first drone we couldn’t get to calibrate at all so they sent a replacement. The second one takes a long time to get to calibrate and once it finally does if you land it you have to turn it off and back on and start the whole process all over again to get it to fly again.

Okay price for what you get good to learn on.
