Working so far!
I don't usually leave reviews but I wanted to leave a review here to express my satisfaction with this product. I fell walking the dog and noticed my middle finger was bent downwards in the front. I looked it up on line and saw it was called mallet finger or dropped finger. went to the doctor and he confirmed it. xray showed nothing broken. just torn tendon. my doctor gave me a full splint but I wash lots of dishes and have to wear gloves anyway because I get eczema on my hands from too much water. I bought this product and it allowed me to slip the rubber gloves on and wash my dishes. I am a female, 55 years old and weigh 155. I wasn't sure of the size so I ordered this multi pack. well, I have been using the 2 smallest ones. When one gets wet or dirty I wash it and put the other one on. sometimes I put a little tape on the top end attached to my skin to keep it snugger if needed. don't forget to hold finger straight though when taking off and putting in new one or just keep it straight by holding it on counter. the Velcro is very good. no problems. it has been 4 weeks and the finger is straightening but I can tell I will need the 8 weeks that is recommended. very happy with this product so far. I will try to come back on with a review after 8 weeks. p.s. I chose not to go to orthopedic doctor, just my primary, thinking I could do it on my own. I am not a doctor and you should choose your own treatment plan. just wanted to share that this is working so far

The flair is not so bad... you might get sizes 2 through 5, not 1 through 4
The good. The product does seem to fit other fingers well. Also, it is much slimmer than we imagined they would be. Other people have mentioned the gap/flair at the bottom (around where there finger tip goes into the sleeve). It does indeed have a flair there. Since we were sent the wrong sizes, we had to put gauze around the finger tip and then use the next closest size we had. My wife's finger is a size 1, so we had to use a size 2 because they didn't send us a #1. The gauze trick works and we decided that the flair is a design decision. I imagine that the flair allows for thick fingers and thin fingers...The bad. We ordered the set of 4 as described in product description (sizes #1, #2, #3, & #4). However, they sent us sizes #2, through #5. The only size we needed immediately is size #1. The one size they didn't send. Customer service has not replied to our inquiries.

This product worked best for me
I had a mallet finger in my left hand pinky. I tried all sort of splints. I would recommend this the most. Also notable is Oval-8. But the issue with Oval-8 it does not keep your finger straight. My finger was slightly bent. With this however it keeps the finger upright and straight which is important. The drawback is it gets slippery with water and wetness. It will impact the skin with moisture. But the velcro comes in handy to remove the splint (while keeping your finger straight) and dry it out.

These work exactly as intended. You may need to make some adjustments.
Ok, so these are a sort of splint to help with the healing of tendon issues at the end knuckle of a finger. The tendon slips off to the side of the knuckle causing the finger to bow improperly from the tension coming at the wrong angle. So called 'Dip' or 'Mallet' finger. Besides surgery the only remedy is to keep the joint extended where the tendon can, hopefully, heal in its proper position on the top of the knuckle. Thus leaving the finger resting in a straight orientation rather than bent from improperly directed tension from the tendon. Part of the issue is this injury takes time to heal, several weeks depending. Even then it may not be completely normal again. For me, and my pinky finger, this set worked just fine. Now obviously people have varying body types and finger size/thickness so these will not fit everyone the same, but these worked just fine for me (190lbs male, not huge hands but still L glove size). I've been able to rotate 2 splints for cleanliness without issue. I will say that despite the velcro strap, I added athletic tape to assure the joint remained static. I also added a halved strip of athletic tape along the top of my finger to offset any irritation/pressure from the top split of the splint. A bandaid might similarly help. You want this splint to fit securely to properly isolate the knuckle, and in doing so, you will likely feel the top split. I'm not surprised by some people finding these uncomfortable, but thats really kind of the nature of splints or casts, and these being preformed they may not fit the particularly thick fingered folk. That said, this is exactly what my Dr applied for my previous bout with this injury on my opposite hand and these work exactly as described, for me. Your mileage may vary, but these will do the job. You just may need to make some home made adjustments along the way. Hope this helped.

The strap needs to be improved
Thry seem to be pretty good quality and they have a variety of sizes that fit. I think the fingertips narrow a little too much. The biggest downside of them is the Velcro mechanisms that keeps them on sucks.

TOO SMALL!
The item looked perfect for my need. However none of the finger braces would fit my index finger. The largest one was extremely tight and very uncomfortable. I am an average size individual with average size fingers. Very disappointing.

Splints to fit as your finger heals and swelling is reduced.
I jammed my finger and needed to wear one of these for six weeks. The physician gave me two splints at the doctor’s office. After the swelling went down in my finger the sprints would not stay on my finger. This product comes with several sizes and I was able to find a splint that fit even when I wrapped my finger with bandages. Great product gray service!

Good product
Pieces may pinch your skin if used without any sort of sleeve, otherwise works perfectly. Different sizes are a nice bonus.

good quality
Bought this for my husband injured finger. His nail was torn off his finger. It healed but had a thin skin so it got swollen after when it bump into the metal surface at work. He used it to cover his healing wound so it protects it from further trauma.

Good quality, small size
Quality is good but not excellent. The Velcro straps wear out after a few weeks of use- and you need to wear it for a few weeks of you had a mallet finger injury as I did. Also, most sizes are smaller than they should be. I have relatively small have, yet only one of the set of five fit my injured middle finger. The rest were too small.
