Very easy to assemble. You will need sand for the bottom to keep it sturdy. Perfect for our deck.

Great idea and worked well, but couldn't stay in the locked position when a minor gust of wind came though.... eventually the string broke off inside the crank shaft and I was able to replace it - but then the crank finally gave up by the end of the season. Look elsewhere - POS

Crank handle broke after less than one year.

I kept buying cheaper and Bellos and they wouldn’t last because the wind would tear them down. This one has been super sturdy and the extra vets in the umbrella. Let the air go out instead of blowing it over.

We like this umbrella. It is large enough to cover our patio from the sun, but the base does not provide great stability and it has fallen over a couple of times with minimal wind. (We do not keep it up all the time and never in a storm or windy days) the braces that hold the umbrella itself are already bent. They are too thin for the size of this umbrella.
