Just wanted to verify.** A: It will strip a sheathed wire, however, coated magnet wire wouldn't be stripped so much as scraped. A few passes might get most off but you would still likely be better off with using some fine sandpaper to remove it. **Q: Will it strip Teflon coated or ptfe stranded wire?** A: I was trying to strip 36awg silver plated copper wire. Forget it it's really a junky tool. Hard to believe it's made in Germany. **Q: Can this device strip cat 6 Ethernet cable?** A: Cat5e is typically 24 gauge.
