Perfection for dry sensitive skin
I know there are quite a lot of positive reviews here but had to leave mine as well since this is now a repeat purchase and staple both during summer and winter, both day and night! First my skin type: I have dry older skin that I frequently irritate in my quest for eternal youth with too aggressive peels or retinoids. I do often have red peeling zones... While I can't really say this magical cream helps achieve eternal youth it is as close as it gets and manages to restore my skin to its plumpness :) When I first purchased it didn't expect much - I mean how can a gel help dry skin, surely it should be more creamy to moisturize? However from the first try the feeling was amazing! Soaks into skin immediately so no greasiness (good for going to bed at night or putting makeup on daytime) and keep the skin well fed for hours! Truly amazing! It is so thin - gel like, that it works great during summer, and surprisingly works its magic at wintertime as well :) I think the price is more than reasonable. It doesn't have any scent which I really appreciate. To give you an idea what I am comparing it to and find it superior to at this stage of my life, some well known brands I liked are Cerave AM/PM (like), Simple (like), Cosrx (meh), Nivea Q10 (meh), Olay (various), L'oreal (meh), Cetaphil (like but too thick), Neutrogena (meh), Eucerin (meh)... I know that everybody's skin is different, but if you are still searching for your moisturizing holy grail, warmly recommend you try this!

Impressive Results for Teenage Skin – Highly Recommend!
I recently bought a selection of skincare products for my teenage grandson, and this moisturiser was chosen to be part of his daily routine to help tackle the spots that had built up across his forehead. Like many teenagers, he was struggling with breakouts, and we were hoping to find something gentle but effective that he would actually stick to using. I’m really pleased to say this moisturiser has worked brilliantly. Within three weeks, the difference in his skin was noticeable — the redness had reduced, the breakouts were much calmer, and his overall skin texture looked smoother and healthier. He’s much more confident now, which has been lovely to see. One thing he really likes is that it’s lightweight and doesn’t feel greasy, so he’s happy to use it every day without complaint. It absorbs quickly, doesn’t leave any shiny residue, and fits easily into his morning and evening routine. I’m genuinely impressed with how well it has worked for him, and he absolutely loves the product. We will definitely be reordering. If you’re looking for something effective yet simple for teenage skin, I highly recommend giving this a try!

excellent value, worth a shot
My skin: had adult acne for years, taken long term antibiotics then came off them and it all returned. I was then offered roaccutane but refused due to other side effects like hairloss, anxiety etc. I tried the topical form Isotretinoin which helped a little. Then my skin completely changed to red and dry. Then came the Rosacea diagnosis. Years of redness, flushing and tiny little white spots all over my face like a permenant red rash from cheek to ears. I've tried all the usual prescription topical options and nothing helped apart from metronidazole which is an antibiotic cream so unsuitable for permenant use. I've tried all the usual skincare brands reccomended for sensitive, rosacea prone skin and nothing helps. My skin is just overly sensitive and clogs easily. Then I heard about the aveeno oat cleanser how it's very mild and a good option. I tried it but continued using my old moisturizers and nothing changed. So I thought I'd try this and within 2 days my skin has completely calmed down. It's not flakey, or itchy and the redness has died down to a normal rosy level for me. A lot of the small white spots have gone and my skin looks the best it has done since I came off metronidazole about a month ago. The product itself is cooling, gel like with no scent. It doesn't sting or sit on top of the skin. Absorbs really well and doesn't leave you greasy. If you're having skin troubles I think for the price this is well worth a shot. I just hope my skin continues to like this product and it becomes a permanent fixture in my skincare routine.

Calming moisturiser
This is a lovely simple moisturiser that leaves my skin feeling smooth and hydrated. It has no fragrance and feels really cooling and calming. It's a great base for makeup, with products going on smoothly over it. Would recommend for those with dry and/or sensitive skin.

Calm+Restore Oat Gel Moisturiser GREAT!!!
I was looking for an effective, non-greasy, quickly absorbed moisturiser for use after applying Azelaic Acid cream for my pimples, pores and generally textured, sensitive and oily/combination facial skin. Google told me I needed a good barrier cream because azelaic acid can cause redness, dryness and flakiness. It can also cause a slight stinging or low level burning until your skin gets used to it. Google gave a list of the best barrier moisturisers for use with azelaic acid, and this Calm +Restore Oat Gel Moisturiser by Aveeno was at the top of the list. I read the good reviews, bought it and used it on top of the azelaic acid cream. The Calm + Restore was a dream to apply, it's not runny and it's not too thick.....and it goes far. It sinks into the skin, soothing and calming and leaving my skin super soft and smooth. I also bought Aveeno Calm + Restore for sensitive skin moisturising lotion with SPF50 which I'll wear on top of morning applications of azelaic acid (it should be protected from the sun). I like these Aveeno products so much that I have just ordered them both again

Absolute lifesaver for sensitive, rosacea‑prone skin
I’m always on the lookout for skincare that genuinely calms rosacea‑prone, reactive skin—and this is it in spades. The Aveeno Calm + Restore Oat Gel Moisturiser has completely earned its place as a permanent staple for me. This is now my third repurchase, and I honestly can’t see myself being without it going forward. I keep a jar everywhere—on my desk, in my bag, at home—because it’s one of those products my skin thanks me for every single time. The gel texture is lightweight yet comforting, sinks in beautifully, and leaves my skin feeling calm, soothed, and comfortable with no heaviness or irritation. Even on my most sensitive days, it just works. There’s no tightness, no stinging—just skin that feels settled and hydrated. It also comes at a fantastic price for the quality, which makes it even easier to repurchase without hesitation. If you have very sensitive or easily irritated skin and want something gentle that actually delivers, I can’t recommend this highly enough. 🌾💚

Fast absorbing, lightweight, nice subtle smell, and keep my face moisturised the whole day
My fav moisturiser. Finished two pots already. Only have to apply twice a day (morning and night) and it keeps my face moisturised the whole day. It feels light and absorbs quickly without leaving the face feeling weird. I also like that it has a subtle oat smell. It’s a shame that the price has gone up in stores but I am glad that I could get it online for a cheaper price.

Thought I Found a Winner—But My Face Has Other Plans 😕
I’d been hearing good things about the Aveeno Face CALM + RESTORE Oat Gel Moisturiser, so when it showed up for testing via Amazon Vine, I had high hopes. It ticks a lot of boxes on paper: hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, formulated with prebiotic oats and soothing feverfew. What I liked: • Texture is genuinely light and gel-cream-like—absorbs quickly without feeling heavy. • No strong scent, which is great for someone with sensitive skin. • Packaging says it’s for “sensitive skin” and “normal to dry skin,” which had me thinking it might work for me. What went wrong: • After a few days of using it every morning (and then both morning + evening), I started noticing more breakouts. Tiny bumps, then some red spots. My skin has never been extremely acne-prone, so this was surprising. • The irritations didn’t feel like just one-off; they persisted until I stopped using the product. • Because the marketing emphasised calming and barrier repair, it felt especially disappointing that my skin reacted badly rather than stabilised. Verdict: This might be a fine moisturiser for many people—especially those with dry or sensitive skin who need something lightweight and hydrating. But for me (someone who seems to lean toward breakout-sensitive), it unfortunately caused more harm than help. If you’re acne-prone or worried about potential clogging, I’d proceed with caution: patch-test for at least a week before full-face use. Because despite the “gel” texture and calming ingredients, it didn’t work out for my skin type.

Hydratant facile d'utilisation qui ne colle pas
J ai découvert ce gel hydratant grâce à un échantillon et je le recommande. Plus facile d'application qu'une crème. Il hydrate très bien ma peau et est moins cher que les autres produits de ce genre.
