Seal wear and there are no spare parts.
EDIT: I am reducing my rating because after a year of fairly light use, it is scrap metal so far as I can tell. It started taking longer and longer to pump and finally could not make pressure, so I opened it to do maintenance. These pumps use dry seals and no separate lubricant which is good but you need to be able to replace them when worn. The orings they ship have nothing to do with this product, and they have no seal kits available so far as I can tell. I thoroughly cleaned all the parts and reassembled it. Still no change air leaked out as soon as I shut it off and not leaks were found. I flipped the disk on the high-pressure seal and got it to start pumping correctly and not leaking air at shut off. Now it cannot reach 100 bar. Since the valve is not leaking it means the seals are worn out. There appear to be no parts available, so a few months after their warranty it may be scrap metal. Will keep looking for parts from the other brands that sell the same parts, but I don't expect much. END EDIT This is a good, well-built compressor. The electronics, the motor, the pump body and the housing are all well done. I am used to an old, water-cooled compressor that failed, so it seems painfully slow at times, but compressing air to 300 times normal makes the air really hot and fans are not as good as water at keeping parts below the melting temperature of plastic seals. I think the portability provided by not having liquid cooling and having a 12V supply is a good tradeoff for most people, especially if they shoot in places without 110 plugs. I have been using mine for a little over a year, and the vent seal has recently been degrading and finally unacceptable, which prompted a tear down. The ball used to seal it is quite ugly, but it is a hard plastic and not metal so it will be black. This seems like a good choice to run on a plastic disc seal. My ding of one star is because of the details of the sealing bore. The same disc seal is used multiple places and there are 5 replacements shipped with the pump, along with Orings and filters and anti-explosion discs for over-pressure protection. The problem is that the edges of the seal start to deform over time, and this seal will need to be replaced fairly often. The proper way to do design this is to have a clean counterbore at the bottom of the valve hole, the depth of the seal thickness. Since this is the drill-tap diameter that should be easy. On these, the threads are too deep. Under compression the disc deforms into the threads, and it becomes major surgery to remove it. I was only able to get it out by removing the block from the pump, drilling through most of the seal on a drill press, using a heat gun to soften the remaining seal and using an awl to pry the softened material out of the threads. A five-minute simple maintenance procedure was turned into an hour of major surgery because of the thread depth. It is too soon to tell if it would be easier if I had replaced the seal disc at the first hint of problems, but I won't be able to test that for a while. With the seal replaced, the compressor works good as new. This is a good compressor at a good price, and I would buy one again. I hope the manufacturer sees this and corrects the design details in the block, so future customers don't have to deal with this.

4,500psi does the job.
Pumps the gauntlet 2 sl to 4,500psi from zero. Starts shaking a little harder towards the end making it a little difficult to read the gage but doesn't get hot. Warm but not hot, ambient temp was 74f. Puts the commodore to 3,500 from zero in not much time. Its a keeper.

Paintball Gun
This works great for refilling my paintball gun bottles!

Effiicient
Works great. I have a pistol with a small air tank so it does not take long to fill. Pretty quiet compared to some compressors my friends have. I have only filled my pistol twice, so I do not know about longevity.

Wow... Sturdy and quick little compressor.
This little compressor really gets the job done. It's a little quieter than others I've used. Very simple to use with good instructions. Please read the instructions as they have valuable information for you to help make your purchases last. It filled my Gauntlet 2 holding 4500 psi in no time at all. Was very impressed with speed and operation. It seemed to dissipate heat well with 2 big fans venting heat. It's probably just me but I thought it a little pricey but worth it.

You Get What You Pay For
I received the compressor on 10-19-2024 and immediately tried it out. I set the auto-stop for 3000psi and let it work. It reached about 2900psi in about 5 minutes, shuddered, and stopped pumping. I thought it was the auto-stop, but it was some fault with the compressor itself. I set the stop pressure higher and tried to restart it, but it would just shudder and wouldn't pump. I bled the fill line, restarted it, and it pumped up to 2200psi and it did the same thing again. After this it started flashing numerous trouble fault codes that I can not find on the manufacturers site, or anywhere for that matter. I called Amazon customer service and Rolando set up the return, and a replacement compressor. The new compressor will be here tomorrow, 10-21-2024, so we'll see if this was just an anomaly, poor quality control, or a bad design. It almost seemed like the motor wasn't up to the task of driving the compressor at the higher pressure. It could be a bad motor, or a unloader valve. It's supposed to be good to 4500psi ,so I'm at a loss as to why it failed within minutes of being used. This one had as many stars in reviews as every other one on the Amazon site, in a wide price range. I will update this review after I receive the replacement compressor. Addendum: I received the new compressor yesterday, 10-21-2024, and put it to work right away. It doesn't seem to pump up as quickly as the last one (from 0 to 2900psi), but it went right to 4350psi and stopped like it's supposed to. It chugged right along with no hiccups, or slowdowns. It took about 10 minutes to fill my 180cc rifle tank from 0 to 4350psi (300 BAR). The manufacturer claims a fill time of about 30 minutes to fill a .5 liter (500cc) tank from 0 to 300 BAR, about 4350psi, so it does fill the rifle tank slightly faster than it's claimed pumping ability. We will see what the life span of the compressor is. It is oil-less and aircooled which puts a lot of strain on the pump portion at the pressures it operates in. I will add that the cooling fan does move a large volume of air through the unit for cooling, and the onboard temperature gauge showed it only went to 32C (89.6F) while filling my rifle tank, with an operating ceiling of 85C (185F) before it needs a cooling off period of about 30 minutes. I did buy the extended 3 year warranty for the compressor for $33.99 just in case, it's cheap insurance compared to the price of the compressor, it's required operating parameters, and risk of failure. So far, I'm satisfied with it's operation, in spite of the initial operating issues with the original unit. It's an imperfect world, parts fail. I will update this review if I run into any other failures, or longevity issues.
