These are the most comfortable undies I've ever had, despite the occasional riding up. I'm 37" so I used Large. Might try XL and see if the riding up goes away, but I've no worthy complaints for L. Either way, longer legs for true boxer briefs might alleviate that altogether. But I wouldn't change a thing...Even despite the occasional riding up, I will reaffirm these do feel comfortable where they need to the most.The undies don't embellish too much, either. Let's think about this - anything looking like a volleyball down there would undoubtedly cause a distraction. What people want is overall comfort and not making a stripey mess of the far more expensive trousers, since there are reasons someone a thousand years ago said "hey Fred and Matilda, for all those bacon strips we keep noticing and ruining our togas, how about we just make a layer underneath and reduce trips to the river where we can't get the stripe to vanish anyway? People eight thousand years from now will be happy and not worry about ruining anything if they go commando, and I don't mean the video game."Being made from mostly synthetic materials, I'm unsure of longevity, and spandex will retain those lovely wafty odors over time as well.
