Plusses: Instructions were adequate. System was easy to install and works as expected. Minuses: Need to have access to the tools required to remove the bike's crank assemble (approx. $30 cost) in order to install the pedal assist sensor. Motor is rather noisy when climbing an uphill grade. Meter only has metric units. It would be nice if US units could be selected. Trip meter only records when under power. It does not work when coasting.Although there is a warning that the system is not intended for use on trikes I installed the system on one and after 4 month of use, 290 km, I have not incurred any issues. (See the attached picture) Overall pleased with how the system performs.Please note that the probable reason that the manufacture says that the kit is not intended for trikes is that the motor assist will allow the trike to attain speeds beyond what is normal for a pedal powered trike. Learning to properly ride a powered trike is a must. Trikes can tip over in a high speed turns if not properly ridden. General practice is to slow down before initiating the turn and learn to weight shift to the inside of the turn to keep the inside wheel from lifting. Be especially careful when making an off camber turn. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 36v 350 watt 20" *by R***E on April 24, 2024* This AKaSping motor states that it is not suitable for three wheel bikes. I beg to differ. My wife's trike was already an E Trike, so this motor and wheel worked perfectly for it. The original hub motor was a 36v 250 watt motor. The upgrade to the 350 watt made her trike an absolute pleasure to ride. The additional 10 Nm of torque output made a large difference on the hills here in Vermont. As my wife uses her trike for shopping locally. The smooth take off of this motor is a nice feature. The old 250 watt hub motor tried to apply all the power as fast as it could. Leading to the front wheel just kicking up dirt, instead of taking off. The 350 watt hub motor is extremely quite, smooth, and has loads of torque.The only modification that I made to the kit was the throttle. My wife has issues with her hands, so the thumb throttle wasn't a good option for her. Changing it to a twist throttle was easy enough that anyone can do it. But knowledge of soldering sure helps, as the connector doesn't match.I highly recommend this hub motor for anyone else that has an E trike.
