Saves a bundle of money!!!
My 2013 Subaru Crosstrek threw a P2764 TCC failure. As I understand it the dealer gets $800 for a new valve body and an extremely high labor charge when only one solenoid fails. I removed the valve body, which is on top of these transmissions and easily accessible, and replaced the solenoid myself. I’m a pretty decent mechanic though not a professional and difficulty was probably a level 5. YouTube is your friend with this repair. It also repairs P2763. I saved a a chunk using this. No problems since. This has the TR640 transmission.

Fixed my torque converter lockup issue
Worked great! Replaced in September 2024 and still working in September 2025. At the end the day, the 2012 Subaru Impreza is a POS.

Fixed issues
Fixed my AT oil temp light, brake light, traction control light, check engine light. Everything. 60$ part.. buddy charged me 100$ to do the work. Things driving like a a dream now. Saved me from getting bent over by the dealership.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Worked great on Subaru outback. 2013 lockup solenoid. I think this solenoid can replace2 others present. I believe 3 have same Oem numbers

Don't waste your time or money
Did not solve my issue. The solenoid ohms were in spec when I tested it before install, lasted 1 week. 1 week after install the error code for torque converter solenoid was back. I knew i shouldn't have wasted my time swapping out the solenoid. Especially with a dorman part. I'm a full time mechanic, and dorman part quality is horrible, but it was the only brand available.
