All toasters are notthes
Wow, I love my new toaster! When my old toaster expired after 25+ years I was overwhelmed by the toasters on offer. Bought one to match my kettle thinking they were basically all the same. Big mistake. I use uncut bread, paninis etc and the new toaster couldn't accommodate any of them. Slots too small and thin. So had to search for one with large slots and this was it! Takes anything I want so far and toasts quickly and well. Bloody brilliant! Well recommended.

Very good. Pretty standard, but best I have had for a long time.
Very good. Only complaint: Browning Levels knob numbers are too small and hard to see.

Good quality.
Good toasting levels. Easy lift and check during toasting to see if it's done enough. Lifts toast etc. very high so easy to get out. Just stuck a bit at the bottom when doing crumpets but I think it is just because it is new and stiff. Working pretty well now.

Set the bread on fire
What a shame, after extensive research to find a toaster that will comfortably fit Bread from the bakery, this model will accept 13 x17 cm slices (landscape), unfortunately it doesn't toast evenly at all. The bread needs to go in Landscape, but as you can see it burns the toast at the bottom, whilst barely toasting it at the top. The first one was uneven (See toast not on the toaster), so I thought I might have been unlucky, I mean how hard can it be after all of these years to get a toaster to toast evenly, so I sent it back to get a second. Well the replacement is far worse! 2nd Toaster set to 4. The very first slice was set on fire in a very specific place - an actual flame - I was too busy putting it out, to think of taking a picture - the rest of the slice was untoasted, but I've never before seen a slice of bread actually aflame in a toaster.. I later tried it again on a lower setting, but again in the other photo (on the toaster) you can see it toasting very unevenly. I ignore the little slice as it is an uneven "end piece", so not really a fair test. Needless to say this is going back as well for a refund, as clearly this model can't be trusted or recommended. The Search resumes.....

Fits large sliced bread
Great toaster although it’s only a 2 slice it fits every type of bread because of the long slots. It toasts evenly and quite quickly. The toaster itself is very stylish and fits perfectly with my new modern kitchen.

Looks good, great sized slots, but inconsistent/uneven toasting.
This toaster really does have great sized slots. They're not only long, but also wide, so we never get things like rolls stuck in the sides like we did with our last toaster. I don't think we've found anything yet that hasn't fit. It's also very compact considering how spacious the slots are. The toaster looks fine - nothing fancy, but blends into our kitchen. I like that you can push the toast up to check how done it is without ejecting/ending the toasting session. The one downside (and it's a fairly big one!) is it just really doesn't toast that well. Most of the time things are not evenly toasted, and it also seems like the line between 'not toasted at all' and 'burned to ashes' is hair-thin. It doesn't even seem to be consistent, so some slices from the same loaf of bread will get toasted differently despite being on the same toaster settings. So unless you are really not picky about your toast then you do kind of have to stay with the toaster the entire time, constantly checking. The toaster claims to have a 'reheat without toasting it further' setting, but it regularly burns our toast when we use it. So annoying because this toaster really would be perfect for us but the inconsistent toasting is just really stressful.

Great value
Great little toaster. For the money we were delighted with this toaster. Great results and a lot more quickly than our previous expensive toaster. Buy one!

Great for Home made bread.
We did not have much choice in buying this toaster because it was the only one we could find that fulfilled our needs. As we bake our own bread we need a toaster with extra long slots which this one has. Most toasters seem to be produced for the standard Mother's Pride type bread size, our bread comes somewhat larger and we don't want to cut the top off! This product however does leave a lot to be desired, the toasting is not even, resulting in one edge being burnt and the reverse edge hardly brown. To get the slice down is not easy either and one has to really thump down the lever otherwise it will not engage. We feel that with a little more attention to detail and a price rise would make this toaster fit for purpose, to sum up, rather disappointing when it could be great.

I bought this toaster because of its long slots and that is the only positive thing I can say about it. Worst toaster I ever got by far. Impossible to get the toast done properly, either doesn't toast the bread or it burns the edges. Flimsy mechanism for lowering the slices. Toaster has stopped working after just 7 months and I am delighted to see the back of it. Now I am looking for a new one but I won't be buying a Russell Hobbs one, or anything from that manufacturer again. I don’t normally give negative reviews but in this instance it is well warranted.
