Solid, Easy-to-Use Repair Tape That Truly Saves the Day
This Secopad screen repair tape really came through for me. I had an aged rip in my porch mesh that was letting in every bug imaginable, and this roll let me DIY the fix without replacing the entire screen. It performed marvelously once applied. Application was straightforward, but I’d recommend anyone follow the classic measure twice, cut once approach and apply it when wind isn’t working against you. The adhesive grabs well, the fiberglass mesh blends in nicely, and the patch sealed the tear cleanly enough to make the outdoor space comfortable again. The roll length is generous—after repairing my rip, I still have the majority left for future fixes. For a simple, strong, no‑nonsense repair solution, this tape delivers exactly what it promises.

Really great for fixing small holes and screens
This product comes in a roll similar to say, duct tape. It’s very wide and can be trimmed with a pair of scissors very easily. I trimmed a few pieces to fit the small holes I had in my screen. I actually trim them to about a half an inch wide easily. It sticks to the current screen very very well and seals the holes very well. I am impressed with this product.

Good for humans, not for cat
This stuff works really well. It's super adhesive and while it doesn't make it pretty, it definitely makes your screen cleaner-looking. Yes, you absolutely should put the tape on both sides of the screen. The adhesive is very, very sticky and if you place them so they are facing each other, the gooey adhesive will merge together and provide you with that much more stability, even with "dusty" screens (although. It's easy to cut and apply. You might end up with some adhesive on your fingers but it's easy to peel off. I bought this because I have a cat who thinks screens are cat-optional for access to the backyard. This tape definitely deterred him for a couple of weeks. But then he realized he can just slowly claw away at it and remove the tape. And claw away he did. Almost all of the tape that I put up on the inside has been removed (I doubled up on the outside and he even somehow was able to claw that out. I've tried to periodically replace what he has torn off but I ran out of tape. That said, if you don't have a cat who is hell-bent on getting out, screens be damned, then this tape works very well for minor and even major patches. My cat managed to entirely separate the screen from the edges and I used this tape to repair the huge hole he clawed through and it did so pretty quickly and easily. Even though this tape is very cheap and affordable, I think I'm going to apply the money towards re-screening the screen (there's an awesome cat-proof heavy duty screen out there on Amazonland - some guy posted his cat actually trying to claw open the screen to no avail). Bottom line, this is great if you don't want to have to completely re-screen your door. But if you have animals with zero f's given like I do, then I'd probably try another approach.

So far so good
Worked as advertised. Patched a small tear on the roof of my lanai birdcage. Want to keep it from getting worse. Good sticky adhesive. We'll see how long it lasts.

Perfect!!!
Been. Looking for something like this for my screen as I don’t want to replace the whole thing for a small hole. Easily attached to the screen and the size is customizable with some scissors. For the price, I’m happy with this purchase. Is it visible? Yes. Does it keep the bugs out? Yes. Seems durable and versatile as I can place it where I want.

Misleading Functionality. Adhesive Strength at the Expense of Airflow
tldr: Acceptable as a purely cosmetic patch, but not a functional repair. Buyers seeking to preserve airflow should look elsewhere. This product performs adequately if evaluated strictly as an adhesive patch, but that is *precisely the issue*. Despite being marketed as window screen repair tape, it functions far more like a standard, non-breathable adhesive strip than a true screen substitute. To be clear: the tape *does* adhere very well. In fact, its adhesive strength is one of its most notable qualities. It bonds securely to vinyl-coated polyester and fiberglass screens and is unlikely to peel or lift under normal conditions. In this respect, it outperforms other screen repair tapes I have used, which often suffer from weak adhesion and require repeated application. It also appears to be quite strong and durable, though your cosmetic mileage may vary as it is quite thick (certainly thicker than most actual window screen material.) However, this strength comes with a significant trade-off: it does not allow air to pass through. *At all.* Once applied, the patched section behaves like solid tape, effectively blocking airflow rather than restoring the function of the screen. This defeats the primary purpose of a window screen, which is to permit ventilation while keeping insects out. Because of this, the product feels somewhat misleading in its presentation. The term “screen repair” strongly implies a restoration of both form and function. In reality, this tape only addresses the former. If aesthetics are your sole concern (i.e., covering a hole so it is less visible) then this product is serviceable. But if you expect continued airflow, you will be disappointed. More concerning is the potential for misuse. One reviewer mentioned applying this tape over vent holes on a propane tank under the assumption that it was breathable. It is not. It behaves like standard PVC or all-weather tape in terms of airflow restriction. Using it in any context where ventilation is required could be unsafe. In short: Pros: Strong adhesion, easy application, visually tidy patch. Cons: Completely non-breathable, misleading categorization as “screen repair,” unsuitable for maintaining airflow. At this point, I am exploring alternative solutions, (such as cutting patches from actual screen material and using a separate adhesive) to achieve both durability and proper ventilation. Based on my experience, most products in this category seem to fall into one of two extremes: either they adhere poorly but allow airflow, or they adhere well but block it entirely. This product firmly belongs to the latter category.
