Good quality rice with a nice traditional taste
I've been using this Double Horse Bran Retained Matta Red Rice for a while, and the quality is quite good. The grains are clean and cook well when soaked for some time. The rice has a pleasant traditional flavor and goes really well with curries, sambar, and fish or vegetable dishes. I also like that the bran is retained, which makes it feel like a healthier option compared to polished rice. The texture is slightly chewy, just as expected from Matta rice, and it's quite filling. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the cooking time is a bit longer than regular rice, and the texture may not suit everyone's preference. Other than that, it's a good product with decent quality and value for money. I would buy it again.

The taste and nutritional value
The rice is superb,good for those having diabetes problem.Recently when I visited Kerala l was fascinated by its taste and texture.It is worth buying.

Double Horse Bran retained Kerala Matta Rice,5 kgs.
Ordered Double Horse Bran retained Kerala Matta rice in 5 kg pack size.The positives are - well packed/delivered/soft grained rice (pre soaking done).Am not sure if it qualifies as a classic Kerala style red rice because,the colour lightens after rinsing,hardly any telltale signs of red streaks and texture implying low bran content.I have had better authentic Red rice varieties at this price vs quality point.
