Much Smaller Than It Looks
I didn't expect this thing to be huge, but it sure is a lot smaller than I thought it would be. I honestly have a hard time coming up with a usage scenario for this. You'd be far better off with a foldable aluminum work platform or just a ladder. Also, the thing is so flimsy, I'd be kinda worried to step on it. I guess it is fine for a small Asian person, but certainly not for the average American dude. However, if you are pretty light, and you look for a very lightweight thing, then this might be it. But even then, it seems to me there are better alternatives. For my use, it turned out to be a complete waste, because it is just so darn small, and you can't raise the platform very much.

It's ok, it's really lightweight. Ok for painting or hanging lights but could be better.
Its much lighter than I expected. It's a very lightweight set, this is both a nice feature and also the thing I dislike the most about to. I have been repainting a house and I have been using this and for lower areas it works but I have ended up using it for equipment staging and using my heavy ladders for scaffolding still. Would be ok for lower area work or hanging lights but not my go to set, good for an extra or ancillary platform.

Sturdy enough, but poorly designed to change modes.
They work as a platform, or as a ladder, but changing from one to the other is a PITA, as is dismantling the platform assembly for travel, or to change deck height. There are better units out there, would have been easy to design it in.Not recommended. Shop about.

Unbelievable- doesn’t fit staircase
The scaffold base is so long it doesn’t fit on my stairs. Wasted money. Seems lightweight and pretty decent quality but doesn’t do what I need it to, so I’d give it 0 stars if I could.Back to square 1.

Useful as an auxiliary ladder.
This ladder holds a special place in my garage and specific projects. The ladder is so very stable, not surprisingly due to the extra wide base and extended feet. This is what allows it to be stable enough to use as a scaffolding, and for that I am thrilled. I have been needing to paint my ceiling and now I can do so with much less discomfort. While the widened base and feet are nice in that way, they are in the way sometimes and block me from using the ladder in a few places where I can use my old ladder easily. Also, the process of changing the setup to pack it up or unpack and get ready for use, is a little bit of a procedure which you need to have a couple minutes to complete. I like my old ladder better for quick unfold use and put away, as well as getting into tight spaces like my attic. This ladder is great in it's own way and places, but it's not a one stop shop ladder.

Expectations are everything
First thing, with the expectations i had (this being a cheap short term scaffold to use for maybe a few projects) i would have given this 4 stars, but mine came pretty beat up, and the bolts weren't even in a bag.. While i could blame some of the beating on the shippers, some of it was to parts that would seem impossible to have happened in shipping. I ended up going to the store to buy some of the missing bolts, and had to bend things back into shape, so that's a drag..Next - For information since the manual is terrible. The mystery aluminum piece is a railing for the scaffold, you can see it in the advertisement, even if it's not clear in the manual. So, if we assume you got yours in one piece with the bolts in a bag and all, this is what I'd say about it. It's a good (enough) scaffold. I say it like that because compared to a thousand dollar scaffold, it's obviously not going to cut the mustard. Your not going to be able to use this is your a professional carpenter. It's just not good for that. With that said, i would have given it 4 stars because of what it is good for. If you have a project or two, and especially if your like me and have to space your work out to weekends or whatever days you can eek out a little time, and don't want to spend a ton on scaffolding that you will use only for one or two projects, this is the answer. It's much cheaper than renting for months for a smallish project, it's much cheaper than buying an expensive setup when you really only need something that will do what you need done.in short, if your needs fit this scaffolding, it'll be GREAT for you with the price considered. I need this to for a project that i might have rented a scaffolding for if i could dedicate myself to it, but i certainly couldn't do that when i can work maybe 1 day a week on it. This will survive that project and probably a few more, and it folds up smaller than a "good scaffolding system" so it works for me.

Doesn't fit
The board only fits between the wider stairs. So now what?

Sturdy and lightweight
I'm not sure why so many people seem to have issues with this scaffolding. I've been remodeling an old townhouse and this scaffolding has proven itself to be invaluable. When painting or doing any work on the ceiling, it's normally quite a nuisance to have to climb up and down a ladder repeatedly to move it a foot over. With this scaffolding, I can work on larger sections at a time. It's also easier to maintain my balance on a flat surface. I love that it's lightweight and yet very sturdy. Some people might think that it's not sufficiently sturdy because it's so lightweight, but that's what is so awesome. You can move it with a single finger because of the weight, and yet the material is very durable, so it feels very sturdy and stable. I also love that it can be converted to a number of different shapes to accommodate various needs. My only issue is that the lowest setting isn't quite low enough, but that's probably a unique problem to have. The ceilings in this townhouse are kind of low, so the lowest setting on the scaffolding is a little too high, but I would rather have to bend down a little than have to use a regular ladder.
