Body Smart - Accurate Scale for Body Weight and Fat Percentage, Body Composition Scales Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Weight Scale, Apple Health / Google Fit Compatible, Digital Bathroom Scale

UPDATE: 3 months later and after 2 software updates for the scale and 3 app updates, I am please to say that this device and app are working perfectly and as I had hoped. Now my body fat and BMI are actively being synced to the Apple Health app instead of being stuck in the app. My weight goes directly to Apple Health instead of via MyFitnessPal. I would definitely recommend this to someone looking to monitor their progress using smart devices. ———————————————— This product isn't as smooth and stream line as you would expect. It can be quite buggy and cumbersome when combining it with the Nokia Health Mate app. In a household of 3 people, it will either show an icon saying that it doesn't recognise you at all or it will ask you to let it know who you are by leaning left or right. On the upside to this, if you look through the app, it will let you know that a weighing was made but not assigned to someone, giving you the opportunity to assign it to your self thus triggering the device to identify you the next time. (hopefully) The symbols that pop up on on the device screen are not very helpful and there is no obvious guide to be found, so a lot of guess work is required. I almost decided to return the item when syncing it to the app for the first time didn't work. The issue was that you had to choose the correct product name in order to start the process. However, the actual device name didn't work and I had to select the name of the next model up. The app was recently updated, Jan 2018, and a few of its features are working now instead of giving zero as a weighing result. Overall, if you have the patience, it is a good product. I use it every morning after the gym and so far the data it is giving me is helpful.

After many years of losing half a stone then plateauing and losing interest then reverting back to laying on the sofa eating doritos just to see the weight pile back on seemingly overnight, After some persuading by family I decided to make a good push to lose weight in the new year - signed up to a gym which I goto a couple of times a week (I know, I should go more) and just reduced how much bread and general junk food I eat, I still eat the occasional packet of crisps etc but I don't binge on a sharing bag of doritos every night - my biggest change is probably staying away from chocolate, I often ate multiple chocolate bars in a sitting (one is just too small for a fully grown man!) but I now realise that isn't normal behaviour & that has probably been the hardest thing for me to change - but overall nothing too dramatic/life changing really & at the same time I decided to treat myself to these shiney new wifi scales as my previous smart scales were a good 10 years old and offered questionable accuracy. As per usual, I lost about half a stone and hit the plateau but after checking the app I could see my muscle mass was increasing, as was my water, fat had reduced - weight stayed the same... this went on for a good few weeks, I'd of certainly long given up under normal conditions then the weight started dropping again - now since January I've lost over 2 stone (from 18.12>16.8) and its still gradually coming off & its actually staying off despite the occasional pig out session at Family BBQ's etc I've had Bluetooth scales in the past, but the moment they can't link to your phone or have some sync issue of some sort that connections broken and realistically you'll never 'fix' it and its just clunky, but these being WiFi scales the moment you stand on them they upload the data to the cloud which can then be accessed online / on app with just your login details - never any worries about syncing or opening your phone app to update it etc The Accuracy on these scales is pretty good, I've certainly had a few phantom results for sure but overall the timelines and statistics it provides are accurate enough plus you can easily remove any phantom results with a swipe on the app if you want to keep things tidy. It's a simple thing, not cheap but in the grand scheme of things it was £90 & I can honestly say I wouldn't have lost 2st+ (and continuing) without them.

First I got this in the Cyber Monday Sale. I have to admit it is an excellent scale that myself and my partner love. Takes a teensy weensy bit of effort to set up but once done works flawlessly. Compared it to my own old trusty Tanita Body Composition scale and the two were very very close, which was reassuring. The app is nice, stepping on the scale updates app within seconds. The graphs are excellent. You can customise the scale to show you only the stats you are interested in. The weather option isn't as gimmicky as you would first believe especially if you do outdoor training. On top of the ability to differentiate between similar weighing users in a fun way (fun to me, you lean one way or the other; twins anyone!) and have the app track steps from your phone which you can then see on your scale the next day. You have a well rounded scale that many casual and hardcore users will appreciate. So why a star lost... Well my old Tanita did a number of things that the much newer Nokia doesn't. Such as Visceral fat, metabolic age, body shape and Basal Metabolic Rate. Though these stats were not going to be very accurate they could be relied on to give you a general trend which was motivating. Since these can be calculated from the way muscle mass and water are measured this doesn't seem like a huge stretch to include especially when in the app you can switch off which stats you want to see. C'est la vie. To summarise well worth your consideration, especially if you can get it on a deal.

This set of scales, paired with the Withings mobile app has done a great job of allowing me to monitor my weight over time, in such a hands off and easy way. It allows me to weigh myself daily after my morning shower, without really having to even think about what the scale is saying as it seemlessly stores that information within the app, which sync's with Apple Health straight away. This means over time, I'm able to look back at my historic health data, such as heart rate, weight and various other metrics I track and use them when I need it. Such as during discussions with Doctors, improving my fitness levels, or just trying to keep an eye on my general health. The app allows you easily export a full report of the metrics it has available to you nice and easily. I'm not too keen on the app promoting Withings products on various screens to fill the gaps, especially when I own various other devices that do the job they're advertising that product will fill, but they're not invasive and typically found at the bottom of various screens so not that big of a deal really. The set up of the product could have been a bit easier in my opinion as it took a bit of going in and out of settings to get everything set up properly. But once it's done, it's a set and forget experience which I love. The packaging materials are fantastic, and the build quality is great, it really drives home the feeling that you've bought something premium that will stand up to the test of time. Their various other slightly more expensive models will do a few other tricks, such as body composition, heart rate, age metrics etc. If that's something you want your scales to track for you, I'd suggest you take a look, but for me, the primary goal was weight and body fat percentage, so stuck with the Body+.

I purchased these to go alongside my ScanWatch and they work seamlessly together which makes the whole package perfect for my needs. The unit itself appears to be well manufactured and is certainly featured packed even if some of the features are not required on a set of scales !! In use these scales have proven to be very accurate when used correctly on a solid floor and not on carpet. I can happily say this as due to health issues I am currently being monitored closely by my local hospital and the results from their equipment and these scales are near on identical given the different times etc that the readings are taken . One other point that absolutely amazed me was that upon the first use and after syncing with the app the app advised me to have my bone density checked as it appeared that the reading given was low. This also confirmed to me that I made the right choice in buying these as a couple of years ago now I was diagnosed with osteoporosis for which I am long term medication to address this. This was something that I certainly did not expect from a set of scales. There was nothing difficult in setting up of the scales , in fact it was quite easy as the app does all the hard work for you. Updates were done automatically through the app which was certainly no different than updating any other item over the internet. All in all I for one am delighted with these scales, they have proved to be a good investment and well worth that little extra than the normal bathroom scales especially if you have health issues which you are attempting to address. I for one would not hesitate to recommend these as they are simply a amazing piece of kit.

I usually don't write reviews but this product was so disappointing I was compelled to do so before I return it. I will try to give the pros and cons but unfortunately the focus will be on the cons. PROS: - Pretty packaging, perhaps too pretty as it set up my standards too high - Easy to connect to my phone via bluetooth - (this is a generous pro) after some fumbling with how this device syncs to your phone, it eventually did display all the information I wanted in order. The bar was indeed on the floor CONS: - The weight and other measurements seem to vary significantly between weight ins. (My body fat went down after one cup of coffee.) - The app crashes often. Upon setting it up, I was not able to access the app for 20 minutes straight as it would crash, and yes I did restart my phone and open other apps to make sure it wasn't an issue on my side. - I don't like how it does not take your muscle mass into account, if you do weight training you can weigh more and be healthy. We were both surprised when my partner and myself who work out intensively 6 times a week were classified as overweight by the scale. - Limited controls on the app - specifically for syncing. I get that limiting customisation for the user often makes for a better experience, after all Apple does it, but why can I not ask my scale to sync manually? This would at least give me some insight as to when I can expect changes in setting to be sent to the scale. Since the app is unreliable for me, I had to wait an undetermined amount of time with minimal indication that a sync has been done. It felt like an uncomfortable wait when setting everything up to my liking and very disappointing given how 'smart' this device should be. - Finally, I dislike how the scale pushes you to set weight loss goals right upon logging in, maybe I have other goals? Isn't the younger market trending towards health and self-care rather than weight loss? Keep up with the trends guys! I can see how this scale can help the average consumer hoping to lose weight and get in shape, but for anyone that likes to customize their experience and track their health in any more in-depth way this is very disappointing. I can definitely see Science nerds throw this in the trash. Overall, this is a pretty but unreliable scale. I don't consider it as smart as I'd like and I will return.

Excellent piece of equipment, so easy to set up and use

The previous scale broke, hopefully not because of my weight. Being without a functioning bathroom scale for a few weeks has been both a blessing and a curse; especially if this Nokia Scale is telling my weight accurately! The setup for this scale was very straightforward. The weight readings seem fairly consistent and repeatable but the body fat percentage readings have a range of about 3-4% and I'm not entirely sure about the accuracy as I don't have anything to compare against. The readings sync automatically to the Nokia Health Mate app and it's also possible to connect the data to MyFitnessPal. It's quite easy to set it up to recognise other members of the family (using the app) and from thereon the Scale automatically recognises each of them when they step on. Purchased it for £52 as an Amazon Warehouse deal. Functions as advertised, looks great, and has solid build quality. Recommended.

Quería una báscula que sincronizase con mi iPhone y la app Salud. Sin duda cumple con creces lo que buscaba. Hace un seguimiento de tus mediciones corporales a través de la app propia de Nokia Health Mate y además la app Salud de apple sincroniza los datos de Peso y Grasa corporal. La app Health Mate es muy completa y tiene un diseño muy cuidado. Se puede usar para registrar otros ejercicios e incluso puede sincronizar las calorías gastadas al andar con la app Salud. Las calorías las calcula automáticamente, cosa que no hace el propio iPhone. Además, puedes registrar varias personas y las reconoce por el peso. Si tiene dudas de quién se está pesando (debido a que pesan parecido), te pregunta y solo tienes que balancearte hacia el lado de la persona correcta.

Inaccurate measurement and complex device to use.. Don't buy its a waste product

There are thousands of BMI body fat scales here on Amazon, so choosing one can be overwhelming, and this one is more expensive than others. But I checked out the Withings company and they appear to be the first company that created scales like this which measure BMI, body fat, body water, bone mass etc so I felt more confident that their technology and software would be better and more accurate, and that they would invest in continually improving and developing their tech. I’m sure the accuracy of measurements on any of these scales is not as precise as equipment that would be used in a clinical setting, but overall the measurements are about what I expected so it does seem pretty accurate. And even assuming a margin of error, the consistency of the measurements over time is reliable and a good indicator of the changes within your body if you're trying to lose weight, lower your body fat, or gain muscle, etc. Overall this scale has the look and feel of a quality product, from the packaging to the design and build, as well as the size of the scale (larger than some others I was looking at). The iPhone app installed fine, had a few issues at first connecting my phone to the scale but restarted my phone after installing the app and that seemed to solve the problem. Easily set up multiple users. But note the scale doesn’t work on a 5G wifi network, works fine on 2.4G wifi. The iPhone app is well designed, a clean simple layout that is visually appealing and easy to navigate. It presents the data well and syncs with Apple’s Health app seamlessly. I had never heard of Withings before, but I would buy a product from them again.

Se necessario, la bilancia si aggiornerà all’ultima versione del firmware. La bilancia potrà essere utilizzata da più membri della famiglia e si può procedere in due modi: condividendo un unico account, oppure impostando un account per ogni membro. Nel primo caso chiunque potrà vedere anche i dati di ogni altro familiare, cosa che non avviene nel secondo caso. Personalmente ho adottato la prima soluzione. Installando l’app su diversi dispositivi vi viene comunque chiesto di scegliere il membro “principale” per quello smartphone o tablet e solo lui può modificare alcune tra le sue impostazioni, oppure eliminare le sue misurazioni. Sebbene l’app Withings Health Mate non sia ancora il massimo, noto che sta progressivamente migliorando. È inoltre possibile sincronizzare automaticamente qualche dato con Google Fit, Samsung Health e con altre app per la salute. Venendo alla bilancia in sé, è molto semplice ed immediata da utilizzare: basta salirci sopra senza neppure doverla accendere prima e attendere che si azzeri, in quanto la taratura avviene automaticamente da spenta. Il peso viene sempre misurato con precisione, anche perché se il baricentro del vostro corpo non è centrato, delle freccioline vi indicheranno la direzione in cui muovervi. Una volta registrato il peso, apparirà il vostro nome oppure, nel caso di persone con pesi simili, vi viene chiesto di scegliere chi siete (spostandovi leggermente a destra o a sinistra). La bilancia effettua dunque tutte le misurazioni mediante l’impedenziometria. Dall’app ogni membro può scegliere che cosa visualizzare sul display (volendo anche i passi registrati all’app, oppure le previsioni meteo), in generale la bilancia sarà in grado di darvi misurazioni di Peso, BMI (IMC), massa grassa, massa muscolare, corporatura ossea e contenuto di acqua nel corpo. Queste misurazioni devono essere necessariamente effettuate a piedi nudi, poiché l’impedenziometria sfrutta un segnale elettrico che deve attraversare il corpo senza ostacoli. Gli elettrodi sono affondati nel vetro; i valori rilevati sembrerebbero essere piuttosto accurati, inoltre è disponibile una modalità atleta. Stabilissima la connessione Wi-Fi, i dati vengono caricati immediatamente sul cloud (oppure mantenuti in memoria nel caso in cui non sia disponibile una connessione ad Internet) e appaiono subito sull’app. Ci tenevo a precisare che questa versione funziona a batterie (4 batterie AAA, mini stilo) e che dopo un anno di utilizzo (mediamente più di una misurazione al giorno) le pile sono ancora cariche! Ad ogni modo si può controllare la percentuale di energia dall'app. La bilancia è realizzata in plastica e vetro; è abbastanza leggera, ma non ha dei gommini antiscivolo; sono inclusi dei piedini per l’utilizzo su tappeti e moquette. La bilancia è molto bassa e può essere riposta sotto qualsiasi armadietto, oppure lasciata in vista ad arredare la stanza con un tocco moderno.
