I have a Model 3 with premium interior white leather, so I bought the white variant which looks better in that interior than the black one. I loved the look when I first installed it, but the white leather got grimy very quickly after only a few weeks. Although I keep my hands clean, I figured the white leather would require more maintenance, so not an issue, but the grime would not wash away no matter what I did. I went from water, to mild soaps, then stronger detergents. When I used a brush to try and get the dirt out of the leather texture, the leather started to fray and get burrs. Now I have a dirty, frayed, ancient looking steering wheel. For the price, there is no way I can justify buying another one, but I wish I could replace the ruined leather.I don't regret buying the U-shaped wheel, it looks very futuristic and gives you a better view over the dashboard, but be warned it is somewhat more awkward to use than a circular wheel when making full turns.Installation was intimidating and tricky at points (the wire clips for removing and replacing the airbag in particular), but in the end it is doable with a decent ratchet. Just follow the videos online.

The install was a bit tough. Had to watch a few videos to get comfortable. I had to swap parts from original to new. I have the heated steering wheel. If you are a hands on kind of person then it’s an easy install for you. Does not take long to do. If you have the right tools you will be good to go. Highly recommend if you have the money to spend. It’s really pricey so keep that in mind. Great upgrade overall, I’m happy with my install and it looks and feels great! They did a pretty good job making this.

The product itself is made of great materials and really feels like something that would come stock in my model 3 Performance. It gets tons of compliments when people see it. However I have it 4/5 stars simply because it literally comes with zero instructions what so ever. I had to YouTube how to install the thing and still had some figuring out to do on my own which was definitely aggravating since this was a $900 steering wheel. Other than the lack of install instructions I have enjoyed using this item and can highly recommend it.

The product arrived and didn’t have any of the internals needed for the steering wheel. There was a slight pink stain on the right handle of the steering wheel that wouldn’t come off. And the shipping took way too long as it said PRIME shipping when I had bought it. It almost took a month to get to me. The internals on the heated option were basically all missing and required that I move all of my own original parts to the new one. I had no idea how to do this as instructions are minimal and I had to do additional research and effort to properly install and move my wires and internals to the new steering wheel. The faint pink stain on the leather won’t come out despite using some leather cleaner. Disappointed for the price I paid.

4 months of uses: it still bright as Original White. Many would wonder if the color of leather gets dirty quick. and No if you wash hands often, It will keep it clean and stay off white.I wish the finish is a little more premium. but It is what it is. Pressing Honk button has slight different feel to it, may need to press it harder to get the sound alarm go off. Other than that its a fun upgrade to my Model Y performace.For more accurate and Racing mode driving, I would recommend the round steering wheel.
