Great portable steamer
A great product . The steamer part has a moveable and pointed end that allows you to get into corners of fabric . I used it on my wedding dress and it gently got rid of the creases without any damage or water marks being left. It needs regular filling of water so I would only recommend using it for a couple of items or a large item rather than, a long session of steaming. It was relatively lightweight to use and great for putting in a suitcase. It comes with a mitt to use when steaming and to store your steamer in. Good value for money. I would recommend.

Great, cheap, but has a short cord.
When ironing is too much of a faff, this device works great. Just make sure to use the heat glove supplied as it can easily send steam though any garment regardless of thickness. Effective for removing creases, but the power cord is short.

Great product.
Fabulous little steamer. Super easy to use. Heats up quickly. An option of settings. 2 sizes of water canister. Heat for taking creases out in a jiffy. Will be great for taking on holiday/weekends away Would buy again

If I can make it work , then anyone can use it .
Great little device if like me you put more creases in than out when ironing . I live in a flat with not so great storage , and being a single guy for most of it hating ironing and just making do with however my clothes dry living a simple life . Nowhere to put an ironing board and not wanting to touch an iron . Life moves forward and as your kids get older and need a shirt for school and you find a woman and she wants everyone to look nice , sometimes you just have to find a way to keep everyone happy , so I picked this up and expected nothing but sorrow and a tacky product that didn't work , but at least I could say I tried .... It's like a little hand held wizard , it actually works , even me , yes me who may aswel be ironing with a warm brick can now make things look presentable, quick and easy to use , lightweight, comfy to hold and feels quality . The results of the iron or steam are really impressive . If I had to moan like I do at everything I'd say the water tank is maybe a little small you can only get 2 or 3 items per tank unless I'm just being overly generous with the steam , and as a note make sure you wear the tiny funny looking glove they give you as when the steam hits you will know about it . That's a gripe for me and my manly man sized hands the little heat glove is pretty small so I'd suggest picking one up elsewhere . But overall if you want something to travel with , don't have much space or just need something to get you by , then this is definitely the product to have.

Convenient, Powerful, and Easy to Use – A Must-Have for Quick Touch-Ups!
I’m really impressed with the Philips Handheld Steamer 1000 Series. It’s become my go-to solution for quick clothing touch-ups, especially when I’m in a rush. It’s compact, powerful, and super easy to use. What I Love: ✅ Quick Heating – The steamer heats up in less than a minute, which is perfect when I’m in a hurry and need to freshen up my clothes fast. ✅ Gentle on Fabrics – It’s safe to use on a wide variety of fabrics, from delicate items to heavier materials, without worrying about burns or damage. ✅ Compact and Lightweight – It’s so easy to store and carry around. I love that it’s portable enough for travel, so I don’t need to worry about wrinkled clothes while on the go. ✅ Steam Performance – The steam output is powerful, and it really helps remove wrinkles and refresh garments quickly. It also works well for refreshing upholstery or curtains. ✅ No Ironing Board Needed – The convenience of not needing an ironing board is a huge plus. I can steam clothes while they’re hanging, which saves time and effort. A Small Note: 🔹 It’s not as effective on deep wrinkles as a traditional iron, but it works beautifully for everyday touch-ups and fabric refreshes. Final Thoughts: If you need a portable, easy-to-use steamer for quick wrinkle removal, the Philips Handheld Steamer 1000 Series is a fantastic choice. It’s effective, compact, and a time-saver for anyone with a busy lifestyle. Highly recommend for anyone who needs an efficient solution for steaming clothes!

21st Century Iron
The Philips 5000 handheld steamer is bringing ironing into the 21st Century. I chose this particular version partly to free up cupboard space (no more bulky iron/ironing board) and partly as I wanted to get “down with the kids” as apparently conventional ironing is old hat now. I mainly chose it though because it looks like a really cool space gun! I chose the red option which is actually a vibrant slightly dusky coral colour (not scarlet as it looks in done photos). I must point out that the difference between colours in this range is not just the colour but the accessories that come with it: the coral/red comes with just a heat protecting mit that doubles up as a storage bag. Some of the others in this range have an additional ironing mat and slightly larger capacity 200ml water holder. Main features: 35 second heat up time (I timed it). There is an on/off switch and an eco/max button. Also a trigger that you press to release a burst of steam. I particularly like this as it means you’re not wasting water and can control exactly where to steam. I couldn’t really notice a difference with the max mode, I guess it just dumps more steamer faster. The device can be used either straight or bent - just click it into the bent position for the “space gun” look. I only tried using it in this position and it was comfortable to use. The steamer can be rested on its side while adjusting garments etc to steam - the hot plate doesn’t touch the surface so seems safe. You could rest it in the heat mit for extra security. The main thing I was concerned about before purchasing was whether the water tank would be big enough. The capacity is 120mls. I found this gave me approx 5-10 mins use on eco mode, which was ample. I refilled it twice in my ironing session but that was just because I was trying it out around the home seeing if I could steam off old stains on curtains / cupboard doors (it didn’t work so well on these - a gadget with a scrubby head might have been more appropriate). The weight was fine, not ultra light but by no means weighty. don’t think the 200ml water tank would have been necessary - and would add to the overall weight. Also, I could mark it down for length of the lead (2 metres) but I think that a longer lead would also have added to the weight. Just something to consider but you could always add an extension lead. The water holder just clicks on and off, has a rubber seal that covers the water hole (flip It to fill it). It seems fairly durable - possibly potentially the weakest point for longevity but time will tell. Use: you can iron like a flat conventional iron or just hang up a garment, slightly stretch out the part you want to de-wrinkle (wear the mit for this), spray the steam and you’re done. Overall, I’d definitely recommend. It exceeded my expectations for looks and use. And it works! No more grappling with a heavy old ironing board and airing for a steam iron to warm up.

Do not buy!
I don't know where all these positive reviews are coming from - this steamer is a waste of time and money. Took me over half an hour to steam a single oxford shirt, and had to go and refill the water in between. The steamer spat hot water out on my shirt. Still seeing some creases even after going over them multiple times. The water tank is too small and the cord is too short.

Perfect Item to have at home!
Happy with my purchase! It works very well for my need of occasional light ironing. I like the mat & gloves, really useful & the water tank with 2 different capacities is very handy. I would highly recommend this model/option over the others where some accessories aren't included.
