I was looking for a nice but cheap chess set, and I am happy to say that I found it! I love the originality of the colours, the board is beautiful and well crafted, the pieces' design is peculiar and simple and all the chessmen are easily distinguishable. When you place a piece on the board there is a pleasing wood sound, love it. The only tiny problem was that the white king had some small splinters, but I I filed it with sandpaper for a minute and now he is perfect too. I am satisfied with my choice: very good value for money👍🏻

This is a nicely made set, with felt bases to the pieces. They are not overly large or overly small, but just right for a chess board of this size. The colours are good as is the feel. My only bug bear is that the draughts pieces have nowhere to go once you open the board up and set up for chess (or vice versa if you play draughts). That is only a very minor criticism which could be fixed with simple zip lock bags included. Otherwise a very good product for the price

I was looking for a chess set for family use at home. I didn't want to spend a fortune, but wanted something nicer than a simple carboard board and plastic pieces. This ultimately fits the brief, the quality of both the pieces and board is fine and worth the money. However, to dark pieces look to be a glossy black in the product photographs - in reality they are a matt brown, and significantly lighter than I expected. They are similar to the squares on the board. The board is a little lighter than I expected too - for some reason I imagined the wood to be thicker. Overall, the set is worth the £25 I paid - I do feel the item description and photos make it seem a little more premium than it actually is. Don't let it put you off though, it's a nice enough chess set at a good price.

Purchased for our daughter who is at secondary school & wanted a chess set she could keep in her locker for lunchtime matches in her chess club, nice cheap yet sturdy box, quite well hinged (neat) ...storage is a bit cheap (faux velvet blown plastic)...but you can't have everything at this price, ...good deal, she's happy with it as it is competition spec, making "scheming" ...learning moves from books to hit opponents with.

Ordered one for myself and then another two as gifts for family. First time I’ve ever left a review for a product on Amazon. Thats how impressed I am with it. The quality of materials and attention to detail in the design is amazing! Even chess boards triple the cost of this don’t compare. The feel is luxurious and the folding feature doesn’t leave a gap or bump like many other boards. Oh and the green addition in the colour is sublime. As the title says, this board is checkmate for all other boards!

This chess set is for my grand daughter's Christmas gift and as yet has not been used but the look and quality of the product is fab-u-lous. I am hoping she will get lots of enjoyment out of it for years to come. The pieces are really well made and the box and chess board really nice. It arrived very fast on I am delighted with it Thank you

Bought as present for my nephew unfortunately upon opening the packaging I discovered that the knight chess piece was broken. Its unfortunate as the chess set is now incomplete. I have attached photographs of the damaged knight for reference. Overall I do think the chest board is excellent but was not pleased that the pieces can break so easily considering their solid wood. I am reaching out to kindly request a replacement for the damaged knight.

Wow! I rarely write reviews but this arrived today and I can’t believe it was £19.99. The board is carved and the letters and numbers are burnt into the wood. It’s really lovely quality and if I’d paid double for it I would still have been happy. The pieces all have a soft backing so they won’t scratch the board. I looked at a lot of different chess sets before deciding on this one and I’m really pleased I chose it. I highly recommend it.

Not bad, but it has unequal curves and doesn't stay straight on the table, which is a bid defect definitely. Not worth the money tbh

Es bonito y original sin alejarse mucho del diseño de las piezas convencionales.

Es muy bonito y es igual como se ve en las imágenes. Está como barnizado por lo que las piezas y el tablero tienen cierto brillo. Todo tiene un aspecto artesanal muy bonito. El precio (46-47€) me parece adecuado para el producto. Debo decir que es la primera vez que compro un ajedrez de calidad, por lo que probablemente no tengo tanto criterio como otra gente más entregada a este hobby, pero yo personalmente estoy muy contento con la compra.
