Do these arrive in a bag? I’m trying to find a reliable seller who doesn’t just throw them into a box

They arrive safe and sound in a heavyweight plastic bag. Have ordered them several times without a problem.

What is this made from?

I really have no idea but I'd guess from plastic foam. My daughter uses a lot of it in her packing boxes to protect the contents

Anyone know how many bags I would need for moving?

All I can tell you is they are an enormous bag! Almost like a garbage bag. I have ordered two of them to put in the bottom of my potted plants instead of gravels. I guess it would just depend on how much you have to move, but know that they are huge.

I have 2 large flower pots that i need to fill: 16" high x 20" diameter. don't know if i would need one bag or two. would anyone know?

Based on calculating the area of a cylinder (Google) each flower pot is about 1 cu ft empty. So, one bag should be enough to fill 2.
