I think that would work but you will need to buy 4 additional straight connector pieces, as the small playpen only has corner connectors.

Is this playpen stable? Is this easy to be pushed by a baby?

Hi there! If you have hardwood or tile floors, then your baby will be able to push the playpen around more easily than if you have carpet. Here are some suggestions for enhancing the stability of the baby gate playpen. 
 1. Use double-sided tape on the corners and edges of the playpen. This will create a powerful grip between the playpen and the floor, making it much more difficult for your baby to push it around. Just be sure to use tape that is safe for both your floors and your baby.
2. Position the playpen against a wall to stop it from moving around so much. Use anchors (kettlebells or dumbells) on the sides of the playpen that is not touching a wall to secure it in place. 
 3. Zip ties to attach the playpen to furniture or other heavy objects in your home. 
4. Use furniture anchor and zip tie to ensure the playpen sticks to the wall.
