Tesla Heads up Display Mini HUD Model 3/Y 2019-2023 Embedded Design HD Speedometer Display Speed (T5)

This works perfectly for adding Apple Car play to my Tesla Model 3. The install was pretty easy. There’s one tight spot pulling the connector out but other than that it’s a breeze. It took me a little over an hour. My CarPlay does default to the speaker so when I play music I just hit the airplay button and send it to the car. While that may seem a little annoying I’ve found I like that as my Waze notifications come through the speaker on the device and not my car speakers. Overall, I’m more than happy with this product.I did reach out to support for two items and they responded the same or the next day. They helped me through both issues. The first was getting the system tray to appear (It's a swipe from the middle of the right side into the center of the screen) the instructions say to tap the top right corner. The second was getting my calls to automatically chose my car speaker and not the screen speaker. They sent me this below and it works!The phone call setting needs to be set to Bluetooth priority (mobile: accessibility > touch > call audio routing > set to Bluetooth headset ), so that the car's speaker output will be used first after the call.

There are several of these third-party HUD options for the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y. The idea is to put essential driving information in the driver's line of sight, instead of having to glance over at the center main display. Tesla has revised the user interface several times over the past two years so speed and other essential data is now easier to see.Still, there is some value in these type of mini displays. The VERKOKAPPA Tesla Mini HUD shows just the bare minimum: drive mode, speed, turn signals, and state of charge.That less that information than other HUDs that sit on the top of the dash. They're basically a small LCD that projects data onto a semi-transparent mirror. I previously had one them and the disadvantage is viewing in bright sunlight and the clutter on the dash.The VERKOKAPPA Tesla Heads up Display Mini HUD installs basically the same as others, and I had mine setup in about 15 minutes. You first need to remove the back panel of the center console and insert the supplied ODB piggyback connector between the existing plugs. Next, you install this small display in the vent opening behind the steering wheel and run the attached cable to the matching socket coming from the ODB connector.The provided instruction video is adequate, but there are better ones on YouTube for basically almost identical devices.The quality of the installation depends on how much time and effort you want to devote. For example, the bare minimum install has the cable to the display running inside the air duct, which can be seen by the driver. You can avoid that, but it involves removing the front of the dash, which is time consuming and risks damaging the plastic.Overall, this device operates as described. The state of charge appears when you first get in your Tesla. The drive mode and speed match what's on the central display. Installation effort is 2 out of 5 (with 5 being the most difficult). It maintain the mimiliastic Tesla design.

Installed on my Model Y 2022. AMD Ryzen chip.New Model DOES NOT require you to go through the firewall to connect to the battery.You simply connect the wires and you are done.Originally I couldn't get it to disconnect from CarPlay while at home. learning that I have to lock it to turn off solved it. Thank you VeroKappa support!Positives:CarPlay works flawlessly. 98% of the time. once in a while you may just to wait for an extra 2-3 minutesAndroid Auto tried it once it worksLooks stockRelatively easy to instal.Negatives:Audio lag when using the display as a middleman between the phone and Tesla BTUsing the display to take phone calls is terrible. Audio is great, Lag is awful. This is not the displays fault but rather a limitation of Bluetooth. Your best option to avoid the lag is to switch to phone Bluetooth on the Tesla. Then move it back once call is over.This is probably not an issue for wired Android auto.Wish ListAllow wired CarPlay. Port it there why can't wired CarPlay work?? it works for Android Auto. This would solve the input lag issue.Connect to two devices. Unless I am doing something wrong. I cannot get it to connect to my wife's phone.

This product worked great and installed well for my Tesla Model Y 2022. The issue is that 4 months later my car stops working and the 12 Volt battery is dead because it had drained it dead over the course of time. Tesla had to tow my car and then recevied a call that this device affected my warranty. Now i have to pay out of pocket $450 to the Tesla dealership for a new battery & labor to replace the broken one due to this device. It is not worth losing your vehicle for a week or two ontop of paying because of the voided warranty. I am very dissapointed for not knowing this earlier and would like others to know the potential impact altering the vehicle. Going to have to remove the heads up display for the future and very dissapointed.

Clean and powerful little display. Shows all the necessary data in one. Easy to install. Keeps you look straight while you drive.

Nel modello y 2023 RWD, dietro il bracciolo centrale, nella parte inferiore, tolta la copertura manca completamente il connettore che andrebbe scollegato e connesso all'adattatore fornito come indicato nel video di installazione. Il mini display non può essere installato sulla Tesla Model Y RWD del 2023.Inoltre nella parte anteriore del cruscotto lato porta c'è molto meno spazio e manca il "foro" per i passaggio del connettore cavo. Quindi per il passaggio dei cavi va forzato molto per farlo passare e non è possibile far passare il filo in modo pulito.

Funktioniert einwandfrei, sieht gut aus und macht was es soll. Installiert in Tesla Modell 3 Europe 2023. Die Pins im Verbindungsstecker verbiegen leicht, also Vorsicht beim Zusammmenstecken. Das Display glänzt etwas, aber mich stört es nicht sonderlich. Man kann es dann weiter in den Lüftungsschacht schieben, dann fällt es nicht so auf. Das Display sitzt zwar dem Lüftungsstrom etwas im Weg, stört mich aber überhaupt nicht, mag es eh nicht, wenn mir die Luft mitten ins Gesicht bläst. Das Kabel lässt sich gut in der Lüftung verstecken. Dazu das Gummi des Armaturenbretts leicht nach oben drücken, man bekommt dann innerhalb des Lüftunsschlitzes einen Spalt zwischen Plastik der Lüftung und Gummi des Armaturenbrettes, in denn man das Kabel drücken kann. Bisschen Fummelei.

Just works! Easy to install, works beautifully and is so nicely designed too.

Alles wie beschrieben. Einbau easy, mit dem Video wird alles gezeigt. Tagsüber ist das Kabel (direkt neben dem Display) zu sehen, wenn man genau hinguckt. Nachts ist es absolut perfekt.
