I bought this to replace an ageing mattress that was not doing my back any favours. Which? magazine rated it as a Best Buy, and I have always trusted its reviews. At the time it was priced at £600, which I was prepared to pay if it lived up to its expectations. When I eventually ordered it the price had dropped to almost half that, so I thought myself very lucky.I have used the mattress for over a month now. It’s very comfortable and supportive and has done my back a power of good. I’m tending to go to bed earlier and getting out later (that’s the beauty of being retired!). Having the opportunity to exchange the product for a softer or firmer model after a period of time if required gives one peace of mind. Fortunately here there was no need.The only downside is that there are no handles to help rotate or turn over the mattress as is required at times, but since it is lighter than the mattress it replaced I cannot see this as a huge problem.

This mattress is super comfortable. I have no idea why are there so many negative reviews. Choice of firmness is for customer to get right not the manufacturer. They are offeri g 60 nights trial and you can get the item exchanged for free in case you have a different preference.I chose medium firm mattress and it has been perfect for me. You might feel discomfort for a first few days that's because your body takes some time to adjust. The material is really nice, it was fully up in a few hours for me (5 to be precise)The smell of vacuum gas is also gone within 2 days. I have following recommendations for the buyers:1. Use a mattress protector, preferably a fitted one and waterproof.2. Try lying down on it at your side first, it will give you a better idea, if it dips too much in the centre then you need a firmer mattress.3. Speak to silent night support for hassle free returns!Overall this mattress is highly recommended.

The mattress is nice and functions well. I guess I might have liked it a bit softer but otherwise it is good so far (just a few weeks use). I will be curious how it holds up over time.

Got this on a Black Friday deal and have been really impressed. After getting it out of the packaging I gave it 24hrs to take shape and it was super comfortable from the first sleep. Interested to see how it fares over a longer period.I also found it satisfying not to purchase from a tedious brand like Leesa, Simba, Casper, Eve, Emma etc etc who seem to sell a very average product but through relentless social media marketing seem to get some traction. I tried a couple of their mattresses in shops and they were not comparable to this Silentnight Studio.

My mother discovered she was extremely allergic to the memory foam. This was very surprising, as memory foam is widely advertised as being hypoallergenic. However, deeper research shows that this is not unreported and is believed to be due to the gases used to expand the foam during manufacturing, or perhaps the fire retardant treatment. Either way, the manufacturer should alert buyers to this possibility. It can cause an anaphylactic reaction (swelling of any part of the body that comes into close contact with the mattress including the face, itching, cracked skin, etc). Extremely frightening and painful.

So disappointed. This is described as "medium" but is far firmer than many "firm" mattresses. When I bought it, the associated video (now edited) originally quoted 3 comfort levels (soft, medium, firm) so I thought I'd take up the 60 day exchange option and get a "soft" - only to be told the soft & firm were no longer made. Nothing else I wanted to exchange it for in the Slumberland range so stuck with it in the hope it would get softer. It's got worse. I feel duped.Tried out an similar priced memory + pocket sprung mattress today in M&S. Much more comfortable & softer - and that was a "firm" mattress!Oh, and BTW, the description is wrong - says "pocket coil" but there are no spring coils in this mattress - only foam.

My first, and possibly last, foam mattress.Went for medium and the mattress has already produced a lovely dip, just like a 10 year old spring mattress.If you are very light then i guess this wont happen, i weigh 18 stone, and the thing now has a permanent dip.

Ok, so I've only had it one night so far. I bought this mattress as the one I had was too hard. Item came in less than a week. Comes rolled up in a box about about 1m high by 0.5 x0.5m and vacuum packed so you need to unpack it and let it uncompress (24 hrs started in manual)..Mattress looks fantastic with its modern removable cover. Shame to have to put a sheet on it to be honest! There is a little smell coming off the mattress as it s expanding, but almost all gone by end of the day with window open.So my first night, didn't feel much softer than my old orthopaedic mattress, and if you asked me this morning, id probably say I didn't sleep any better.....But, Having checked my pebble watch it states I had 4hrs 19 mins deep sleep. I average 2hrs 20 mins most nights so it must be doing something right(I've never done more than 3hrs!) - I'm impressed!! And would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new mattress!.
