A lot of new characters and new items to make every game feel different if you've played a lot with the base cards. I recommend it without a doubt.

In contrast to the banality that has led Monopoly to be outlawed in our club, Four Souls thrives on unpredictability and collaboration. Unlike games where victory is telegraphed, here, the tide can turn at any moment. Items hold the key to success or failure, adding an element of strategy that keeps everyone on their toes. In this realm, the collective effort to thwart a seemingly invincible player is not just fair but integral to the game's essence. The game challenges the notion that a leader should have an easy triumph. Collaboration is not merely encouraged but necessary to disrupt the fortune of a front-runner. Since the seller is selling 3 different products on this same page, it's helpful in the reviews to note which products is being reviewed. The expansion pack is NOT the game itself, and is meant to add to the original game. The expert in this game told me when they bought a deluxe edition of it, it CAME with the expansion pack already, so this addition was superfluous! So, be warned, if you're giving this as a gift, make sure it's supplementing a set that doesn't already include it. I can't speak to the game itself, but for fans of the VIDEO GAME, from which this card game is a spin-off, it's a fun addition to the Isaac universe.

This is a nice optional expansion that can fix some of the balance issues of the base game. The packaging is okay, but not super flashy like I would expect with the MSRP these originally went for. The cards are nicely done, but again kind of lacking the flair expected for a relatively expensive set. That's less of a concern now that prices are down on the set, but it was a little bit of a disappointment as I was just expecting a bit more in terms of presentation. That said, this deck does do what it's supposed to, which is offer a way to rebalance and tune gameplay of the original set with more loot, treasure, and monster cards. If you're into TBOI, it's likely going to be a nice extension of the game.

I absolutely love the video game version of the Binding of Isaac, so figured I'd give the card game a shot. Invited friends over that also share the same love for the game and gave it a shot. This was easy to pick up and I loved that at any time things could change. Someone could be close to winning and boom in one move it's all gone and could be someone else's game. You have to enjoy the game to really like this card game (or have a high sense of humor for sure!)

I got this card game for my nephew as a gift, and he loves it. I personally do not know anything about this card game, but he said it is an awesome game and he loved the gift. He did mention this was a 2nd part to this card game though, and that you need to already have the first part or first set to be able to use these. Again, I do apologize I can not leave more of an informative review as I have no clue about this game. His mom did tell me the price was great as she had spent more for different cards for this game.

In a household full of gamers this one was a no Brainer. My son has sunk hundreds of hours into the video game and already had the base set for this as well. He loves it and all the stuff is great quality. The learning curve is a bit of a struggle at first but he had it figured out in no time! It is a great game and has everything you'd expect from a BOI spinoff. Don't think twice if you're a fan of isaac... YOU NEED THIS!
