Bottom line: Good quality, fit boy 4'9"This is a nice looking tie. It's not a clip-on -- it's a "real" tie. The width is in style as of 2017. The tie is matte, not shiny. There is a subtle diagonal texture in the opposite direction from the stripes. It's not really noticeable, and looks good if you do notice it.The colors are true to the product page photos. The material and stitching are good quality.The tie fit my son 4'9" with some room to grow. I don't think I'd buy it for a kid much shorter than that.I paid full price for the tie, and it meets expectations.

My son is a tall 9 year old and this fit him perfectly. He got so many compliments on how handsome he looked wearing it!

The tie looks good and fits my son who is 5ft 8in. fine for now. Do not get this size tie if you need it for anyone over 5ft 10in. I don't think it would fit them

The fabric is thick, making it hard to tie. It was uncomfortable for our kid, even for a tie. By the time he’d made it through 5th grade graduation, the threads were out and the thick lining was hanging out the back of it. We threw it away. It technically served its purpose and you can’t tell in the pictures, but we wouldn’t buy this again. Kid picked it out himself online and liked how it looked, so we’re giving it a bonus star for that.

I bought two of these in different colors for my sons first communion. They are great quality and the perfect fit for my eight year old boys. It's hard to find nice looking ties for children so these were a definite score!
