The cover feels firm and really really fantastic quality, and it's strength and firmness allow you to take notes easily in the air without having to put your notebook down on a table. The paper itself is also of a much higher quality than normal paper, as you would expect from moleskine. It's smooth, almost silky and almost cream in colour. As for the detachable pages, they are brilliant as well. Instead of having to rip out pages and ruining your notebook they are perforated, and not in the awful tear-up your whole book kind of perforated. Overall I would thoroughly reccomend this notebook, it's good quality, functional and long lasting (i've had mine for about 4 months now, still holding up great). I’ve bought Moleskine books for years despite not being 100% sure how to pronounce it. They hold together very well.....mine is in and out of my pocket all day....and are nice to write in. They look the part too. I regularly have to stand in front of customers and give them information.
