Saddleback Leather Co. Large Leather Bifold Wallet For Men RFID-Shielded Includes 100 Year Warranty

So I'm a girl who uses 'man' wallets - I like the simplicity and compactness. The one I've been using is a bit 'shallow' for holding different currency bills. Some bills are bigger and constantly sticking out and getting their edges torn. SBL's large size bi-fold's deep bill compartment is perfect for me, also its ability to (eventually) hold a dozen or more cards.Since I ordered mine on Amazon, I noticed a small difference when I received my chestnut one. The backing of the credit card slots are shorter than the credit cards themselves.. I went to the SBL website and found that they probably just didn't update the stock picture on Amazon for chestnut and dark coffee brown (see my picture). It actually is not a bad surprise since it makes pulling card out easier (especially at the beginning). But just be aware and best refer to SBL website for descriptions and pictures..

I am a person who enjoys the process of researching a product before I make a purchase, and if you are reading this review you may enjoy it as well. I wanted a new wallet and wanted a tough leather wallet that had some craftsmanship and quality materials. I googled something like "saddle leather" thinking that I might find some good information on leather and stumbled on this brand. I continued my search but it seemed like all roads lead to saddleback. The price is very reasonable for the quality of the materials and leather work. Now this is a wallet with a larger footprint. I am not a large man, 150 lbs and something like a 32 waist and it fits in all of my rear pockets, some tighter than others but it does fit. Now you would think that a large wallet like this is going to fit everything but the kitchen sink but it really dose not. What it does do is force you to pick and choose what you want to carry and give you very easy access to what you do carry. For example I have my debit card and frequent shopper card taking the two top main slots. They are what I use the most. The third main slot holds everything I would hand a police officer if I was to be pulled over, driver's license, insurance card, registration and CCW license. The last main slot holds a credit card and a few different health insurance cards. The leather will stretch to fit the volume that you place in each particular slot. If I put a single card in the slot that has been holding several cards for the last six months it fits loose but the design, the way the closing of the wallet captures the cards not allowing them to fall out, makes this less of a problem. The two pockets that reside underneath the main slots has come in handy for holding receipts, extra loyalty cards, and spare debit cards and credit cards. They are not as easy to get at as the main slots so I keep less used items in there. I find myself using one side for extra credit card like items. I have kept the number to something like four total and organized two deep side by side just like the slots above them. Works very well. The other pocket is for receipts that I can be reimbursed for by work and that million dollar lottery ticket lives there too. The main cash pocket is deep, I mean real deep. May come in handy if you travel and deal with odd sized money. In summary I have been very happy with this wallet. I feel a pride of ownership and that is what I really am after when I make a purchase like this. If I could do it all over again I would buy the same wallet and if I was to lose it or it is stolen I imagine that I would buy the same wallet to replace it. There is no doubt this wallet is very well made and it will not wear out in the next 100 years. It is definitely a good peice of leathercraft, and I love the marketing on this.However, putting what typically goes in most Men's wallet is next to impossible because the space is so tight. The wallet itself is much to thick to consider comfortable in a hip pocket compared to traditional wallets and will take a lot of use to break it in to where it would be.While I do admire it from a craftsmanship standpoint I am not using mine, and this is a good example of the difficulty of buying some items on the Internet.

YOUR AVERAGE (GOOD) LEATHER WALLET IN A STORE COST AROUND $35 - $45. THE LEATHER "SADDLEBACK LEATHER" USES IS SO WONDERFUL. I REALLY LOVE ALL OF THEIR PRODUCTS ARE LINED WITH PIG SKIN.SWITCHING TO SADDLEBACK LEATHER HAS BEEN THE BEST CHOICE FOR ME AND I HOPE YOU! MY LAST WALLET LASTED ME 6 YEARS, WHICH IS VERY GOOD FOR A $40 WALLET (OR SO I THOUGHT AT THE TIME). I HAD A BLACK FOSSEL LEATHER CHECKBOOK WALLET. I REALLY LOVED MY CHECKBOOK STYLE WALLET BECAUSE I HATED TO BEND MY CASH. I NEVER SAW MYSELF USING A DIFFERENT STYLE WALLET UNTIL NOW. YES I HAVE TO PUT UP WITH MY CASH BEING FOLDED, BUT THAT IS A-OKAY WITH ME! TO HAVE A 100 YEAR GUARANTEE SPEEKS A LOT FOR THEIR PRODUCTS! SO IF THIS PRODUCT LASTED ME UNTIL THE DAY I DIED (AT APPROXIMATELY 80 YEARS OLD), THIS WALLET WOULD HAVE COST ME $0.95/YEAR!!!
