A great, versatile bag.
I commute and carry lots of books and student papers. I have two Fjallraven backpacks that I love but I was looking for a light extra bag, this is great it can hold my laptop and several books with small pockets for personal items and can switch from a tote to a backpack, the straps are fine on my back and disburse the wait. The fabric seems to be water resistant as I have carried it in the rain and had a leaky water bottle. That didnโt pout out onto me. I am very pleased and glad to add it to my commuting bags. It is flatter than most backpack profiles. I got the green color which is a grayish olive green and quite pleasant

Simple and spacious for travel carryon and more
This is exactly what I was looking for: simple, sizeable, and easily convertable. This is pretty compact because it is not deep, but wide enough to span.your back when wearing it. The straps convert on the fly well. Went to Victoria from southern CA and it was just right for ipad, book, snacks, sandwich, sunglasses case, charging cables, phone and wallet. The 2 pockets on the inside made the smaller items and phone easily accessible. The zipper over the top doesn't seal in the contents, but it prevents stuff from falling out. All my stuff stayed safely out when I put the bag under the plane seat in front of me. The color is neutral, and the size enabled me to wear it or carry it when we went out shopping for souvenirs and allowed me to not have to carry multiple shopping bags. This was a great, simple, useful travel bag.

great bag for school/work
very convenient straps , goes from tote to backpack with ease. Minimalistic, lightweight, yet fits everything one might need for work.

okay, but not as convenient as I'd hoped
I bought this for it's neutral color and ability to turn into a backpack for travel. I thought the plain design would be more appropriate for city sightseeing than a colorful backpack. It's fine, it's got a zipped pocket on the inside for passports or wallets, a pen slot, and a padded sleeve for a laptop or tablet. It is nice to be able to convert it from tote to backpack. But there is no dedicated spot for a water bottle, it doesn't really swing around easily to grab things on the go, the straps are not super comfortable when the bag is loaded, and the tall orientation of it makes losing things at the bottom inevitable. As a daily tote it'd be fine but as a day bag for travel it's not my favorite.

Excellent for the price!
I bought this to be my everyday bag for commuting to work, school, etc. It carries all the essentials I wanted it to-- laptop (13" MacBook Air), umbrella, a book or two, small notebook, water bottle, chargers, pens, and a small Tupperware for lunch, as well as some personal items I like to keep on hand like sunscreen, hand lotion, bandaids, tampons, medication, etc. It feels sturdy enough to hold all these things reliably, and is comfortable to carry as a tote. I will admit, carrying it as a backpack is a little less comfortable, especially if you have only a thin shirt on-- with a puffy winter coat, it's fine. The straps are obviously not padded, and the buckles in back also feel just a little uncomfortable on the shoulders, but this seems like something I can get used to. The other bags I was looking at (like Fjallraven's totepack line or Carhartt's convertible tote) were closer to the $100 range, so for this bag's price point, I'm more than willing to overlook slight discomfort-- It is a very light-weight bag overall, so I'm not expecting too much optimization out of it. I like that it has a light-colored lining so I can see its contents pretty easily, and the amount of internal pockets give me as much organization as I need. It's also pretty quick and easy to convert from backpack to tote. I will say, however, that although the straps are adjustable so you can adjust the height of it in its backpack-form, that creates an issue when you convert back to tote-form, because if the length is radically different between straps, the bag will tilt to one side or the other instead of sitting evenly on your shoulder. Not a deal-breaker for me, but definitely inconvenient. I also can attest to its water-resistance-- I wore it out in the snow and the melted droplets sat on the surface without being absorbed. Again, it is an inexpensive bag, so I'm not expecting it to have a hiking-pack level of waterproofness to withstand a downpour, but for my daily commute, I'm not worried that my laptop will get water damaged if I'm caught in the rain for a couple minutes before I can get to the bus shelter or get my umbrella out. This is also my own personal, aesthetic taste, but I like that it doesn't have any big, flashy brand name or logo on it. It's a very understated and clean design. I do wish it came in more colors!

Sturdy and versatile tote bag
Got this bag to take to a conference and it's perfect for that use. Folds up small to pack into a suitcase,. Easily converts between a backpack and tote without having to adjust the straps. Has multiple interior sections - a padded laptop sleeve, 2 open compartments (one of which has a zippered pocket inside it), and a small slide-in compartment for IDs or business cards. Also has an exterior velcro-zip compartment with a key strap. The only thing that it's missing is an expandable side compartment to fit a water bottle, but there's sufficient room inside to include an insulated water bottle. Incredible value for the money, considering some other name brands are charging $70+ for bags with similar features. If you're on the fence, give this a try - I think you'll be impressed!

My perfect EDC bag
I use this everyday and I love it. The cost was so low, I expected a thin floppy fabric bag, but this is perfect! Iโm resisting the urge to get more and hoard them in case they arenโt available anymore one day. Love: How light yet thick and sturdy this bag is. It feels very high quality and is easy to wipe clean. The pockets and flexibility for how much you can put inside. The material is course and so well stitched not a single thread is coming loose even with daily use in rain and snow. How easy it is to switch from tote to backpack (I use as a tote around the house, then switch to backpack while out). How comfortable it is as either form (as a backpack I forget itโs there sometimes). Easy to adjust length of straps and it stays in that position. The top zipper is smooth and doesnโt catch or get jammed. Random thoughts: The straps are on the thinner side with no padding (which I prefer), but if you really load this thing with heavy objects I could see them hurting shoulders. I have my ipad, hardcover, small objects like keys and lip balm, phone and e-reader in it everyday without it hurting my shoulders. Mehs: The front pocket closes with velcro, but its tiny and with my smaller clutch in the front pocket doesnโt stay closed. Iโm going to remedy that by sewing in a larger strip though, so not a big deal. And it keeps it easy to access the front pocket as a tote, I just feel insecure with it that way as a backpack.

Good construction, decent consideration in the design
The construction is sturdy and canvas for the outer body seems like a strong nylon. The straps themselves I think are cotton? Can confirm it is fully lined with a laptop pocket and two other large internal pockets (no closures, can fit passports, large wallets, glasses cases etc. comfortably). Lining for the green is a pale cream colour with a large yellow pinstripe grid pattern on it. The zipper pull along the top of the bag is a nice contrasting mustard colour, which was a nice surprise. The key loop is really long and is attached to the inside of the outer front pocket, which has just a little circular velcro closure in the centre. Less security for more convenience, I suppose. Overall still a great bag...at least for my situation and needs! *Edit: Just realised there is also a rather inconspicuous zippered pocket in one of the internal pockets, as well as a well-hidden card pocket under the zipper inside the bag, too.

Good Quality
The bag is smaller than I expected, but I didn't really check the dimensions. The bag looks really well made and is better quality than I expected.

Versatile
Perfect tote/purse. Lightweight but heavy fabric. Great to use as a backpack when you need to free your arms and hands. And the top is zippered too.

Great fit.
I had been looking for a bag of this style and quality for a very long time and this one is bang on. It's light, fits everything I carry on my back or has handles that slide over my shoulder. The big plus is I wanted a fuss free easy zipper top which it has. I'm so happy with this purchase, and as well a great price.
