It slides perfectly inside my bedroom closet. For the small size, it's sturdy when set up. I took a picture but it doesn't appear I can load it. **Q: Can the iron rest be removed?** A: No. It's on there for good unless it breaks off or you saw it off. **Q: Does the 44” length include the ironing rest? What is the size of the ironing surface?** A: I bought this because it says it was 44" long. It's not. When you fold it and factor in legs, etc., it is around 51". I wanted to hang it in my laundry room cupboard, which is 47" high. I may still keep as it seems sturdy, and I am thinking I can hang it in another closet. Frustrating. **Q: has anyone hung this up? How did it go? And what did you use?** A: Yes, we hung ours with an over the door hanger from Amazon, it also held the Iron as well. Can I return it? ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What every home sewer should look at having *by A***S on 22 May 2025* Sturdy quality ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The iron rack isn’t functional, otherwise this was a good buy *by S***1 on 5 April 2026* This is sturdy, quiet, and easy to use. The padding is substantial, thick and ironing is smooth. My only complaint is the iron holder/rack. It is pretty small and would work for an older iron, but if you have a larger modern iron, the rack is not functional (could even be dangerous). Unfortunately, the iron rack is not removable, but I was able to use it to hang a few hangers with freshly ironed clothes, so it can have a purpose.
