Heck to the Ya
One of the best albums I've ever had the pleasure of hearing. With that said, he's not for everyone (as my friends and family like to continuously remind me) - but with a brief concentration on his story, you may begin to see how his voice ties with the poetics of his lyrics, so perfectly. I wouldn't have it any other way! He sings about friendship, lost love, longing love, angry love, hopeful love, and a whole lot of subjects that can hit close to home. It's an album full of metaphors, some of which I still trouble myself over deciphering, but that is part of the enjoyment. A new story unfolds each time I listen to a song.. a new interpretation, or a more emphasized meaning. I love his raw, slightly high-pitched, raspy voice, and I look forward to all of his future releases - he will not disappoint, I'm certain. He's too full of emotion to lose touch of the music he creates. One man, a guitar.. that's all you really need to feel the warm fuzzies.

What took me so long?
I'm not sure why it took me so long to discover this beautiful man. He has a very unique, scratchy but likeable voice, and plays very well. Brilliant lyrics and melodies. <3 I missed his concert a month ago and can only pray he'll come back soon.I bought this at the same time as There's No Leaving Now, so I kind of have an equal like for both. "Kids on the Run" really moves me for some reason, and the rest are great too.

The tallest of his albums!
This album was the first Tallest Man On Earth record I heard and it’s a grower. I now own all of them but this has to be my favourite which is why I couldn’t resist the vinyl.Great lyrics, wonderful guitar playing and melodies which slowly but surely worm their way into your memory. A true original and an amazing performer.

An underappreciated artist
The Tallest Man on Earth's Wild Hunt album is fantastic, because it isn't overproduced, for one. It highlights what is best about this singer: an incredible voice that demands attention, simple yet beautiful melodies, and insightful lyrics.Sometimes, less is more. And in this case, that phrase rings true. If you like folk music, or are tired of mainstream radio and want to hear something new, give this CD a listen. You won't be disappointed.

Absolutely marvelous sound.
Absolutely love this album on vinyl! I am a pretty big fan of The Tallest Man On Earth and already had one of his EPs on vinyl, so I decided I would give 'Wild Hunt' a try because it wasn't too expensive and it's my favorite album of his. As soon as it came in the mail I put it on as soon as I took it out of the package and have been in love with the sound ever since. His voice sounds absolutely great on vinyl, perhaps it's just the genre, but it is definitely my favorite of all the Folk records I have on vinyl. Must buy for any Folk/Tallest Man On Earth fan!

Excellent songwriting, unique guitar
I first heard this guy on NPR, a live broadcast concert. I kept coming back to it in the archives, the songs were so catchy and different, I finally had to purchase an album and am glad I did. His guitar tunings are unique and his voice quite interesting and pleasing. I love listening to the words, rather than just hearing the song. I was surprised to discover he is Swedish, no detectable accent. I love this album and have now purchased a second one by him.

Strangled duck
Voice like a strangled duck. Quirky and different at first but with every listen it just continued to annoy me more

A Fine Piece Of Work
Swedish singer/songwriter Kristian Mattson's 2010 album 'The Wild Hunt' is a finepiece of work. My favourite number is 'King Of Spain', which is an absolute hoot!Recommended.

Tolle Platte

Consigliato
