Vanishing Scent Bengay Relief Gel, Non-Greasy Topical Reliever with Cooling Menthol, 2 oz

Clearly works for me! I have a pinched nerve in my neck and it was affecting my relaxation and sleep with a constant low throb pain in my right shoulder. Ben Gay worked immediately to relieve the pain. Light menthol scent disappeared in a few seconds. Definitely non-greasy.

I can't find this locally anymore so I order from Amazon. I love this vanishing scent Bengay relief gel, it is non-greasy and absorbs into my skin quickly. The scent vanish quickly so I'm not embarrassed going out into public after applying it. I have a bad lower back so I've used this forever because the scent vanishes. I use it for muscle soreness when necessary (like today) on my knee, my osteo arthritic thumbs and today carpal tunnel. I love the scent for those few minutes then it vanishes; perfect!!! Love that concept!

It does work as described, its non-greasy and the smell does go away! Pretty quickly, too. The only downside, however, is it is not as effective at the 'pain relief' part, possibly because of this? I have a variety of bengay/icyhot products I use for severe neck pain, and had gotten this because my roommate does not like the smell of these products so that worked out for her, but it is sadly not as effective as the normal product. I do have pretty severe pain (i am in physical therapy) so the level of efficacy could be good enough for you! And it is distracting and works well enough for other things, but if you're used to the normal product and expect it to be the same for really bad pain, then perhaps adjust your expectations. If perhaps not as effective but you/people around you do not have to put up with the smell and thats a compromise you are willing to make, then I think you will be quite happy with it.
