Ovillow, Floating Shelf Bracket

These are so simple to use and work amazingly well! Love that it has adjustments to compensate for slight variations in placement. These were out of stock when we went to buy a second set so we ordered another brand and they were so subpar! You will not regret buying these brackets!

I cannot believe that only one review has mentioned the fact that these do not allow the wood to sit flush with the wall, without the use of a router, or chisel and a ton of time spent hand notching out the wood to make room for the bracket. Everyone on here said "such an easy install" - I do tons of DIY projects, and these are NOT simple to install, which leads me to think there are a lot of fake reviews for this product. If you don't have a router, or don't want to spend an hour on each hole, chiseling out the space for the bracket to sit flush - do NOT get these, they are a HUGE pain to install. They seem sturdy enough, but with so many other options that will sit flush without all the extra work, I wouldn't even consider these.

I love these brackets!! They are very easy to install. I was worried about lining up the holes in the shelf with the brackets, but there was no reason to be nervous. Based on some of the reviews, before installing the brackets I purchased heavy duty drywall hangers. The job was pretty easy, even though I had to drill the holes into the shelving, which is 2 inches thick. But I lined everything up very easily. Because the bracket is very thick, I had to chisel out quite a bit of wood so that the shelf would be flush against the wall. (I don't have a router) But that was no problem. So as you can see in the pictures, I put up the mantel (floating) and the floating shelf below it.

Works as designed and very strong. Made my shelf using 2" solid maple, 8" deep, 30" long and look great. Used 3 brackets on each shelf. Like them so much bought another set to make floating shelves for the teens bedroom (used engineered wood and glued two 3/4" pieces together to get the right thickness, painted and looked like one piece). Drilling the hole can be tricky with a regular drill and bit, so suggest you at least get a long bit to get the hole deep enough and then you have to be steady on drilling the hole straight (with a drill press, it would be easy).

It's a decent product, but about 20% of the "powder coat" was chipped off in the delivery package. There were no instructions included, and the only drawings I could find, on Amazon, were in metric only. The plastic anchors were useless for drywall, but I was able to get one screw from each piece of hardware into a stud. I had some other anchors for the rest. The subtle adjustments are pretty cool, but you have to gouge out a fairly deep mortise to mount the shelves flush to the wall. I don't think I could have done this without a router table. Maybe a stacked dado or dedicated mortise/drill press? They look nice now - but I've been a carpenter for 20 years, and took about an hour to put up 2 sets.

Quality bracket. Fairly easy to install. Is it will be easier if you have the right tools such as a router to make space for the mounting bracket. I used 5 of these to hold up a 8ft long Shelf. Shelf was an inch and a half by nine and a half in deep.

Functional but low quality. Paint was alreday chipping upon arrival which is no big deal since these are hidden. Adjustment set screws were all over adjusted making them unlevel and no room for additional adjustment without fixing. Included hardware was not as pictured and useless with typical drywall and wood stud construction. And since instructions are not included you would just have to use your best judgement on hole size. So they will get the job done but don't have high expectations and may want to reconsider if going to use with a heavy load.

These are great brackets. They are strong and sturdy, holds every well on the wall. It was really easy to install and the best part is you can adjust it to your liking. Also the free screws and plugs are great bonus.
