Sakkas Unisex Structured Wool Fedora Winter Hat (3 Colors)

As it happens, I have a young child with a passionate love for fancy hats. He's been wearing a similarly styled children's hat all summer that is made of a smooth, light-colored plaid material. I realized that he would keep trying to wear that snazzy hat even as the weather grew colder and it wasn't sufficiently warm, so I bought him this one.Now, my kids have really big noggins, so, pre-elementary school, his head measures for an adult size small hat (21.25 inches, I think.) This hat is a little bit loose on him, but not to the point of being unwearable. I think the sizing is right on as an adult Small/Medium. For my little guy, the extra room lets him wear his sweatshirt hood up under the cool hat, keeping him both warm and stylish.For the price, I am impressed with the quality of this hat. The only thing I don't like is the little metal badge on the hatband, and I noticed today (after owning for one week) that it has come unglued from one of its two connection points and will likely soon disappear. (I don't mind.) My son is looking for a feather whenever we are outside, as he thinks this hat could use even more flair!The lining is a rich-looking satin--almost definitely polyester. My son doesn't find it itchy or in any way annoying. He says the hat is comfortable. All the stitching seems true and, aside from the tacky little badge, which, honestly, is pretty small and unobtrusive, the details look pretty sharp. I'm very glad I bought this, and so is the recipient.

This hat was ordered by me purely as a fun xmas gift for my 64yr old hubby. I thought at a stretch he may wear it wandering around outside our house in the cold but I figured he would more than likely just laugh and put it to one side as he has with so many Christmas gifts he has had bought for him over the years. This was a risk as initially I was perturbed by reviewers commenting on the sizing issues. Nevertheless based on the guide given I decided to measure a few of his other hats that were lying around. Some measured 22,others 23inches so I ordered the L/XL. Anyway, the day of reckoning arrived and I studied his face, he gave a chuckle and put it aside. I asked him to try it on and complemented him as I thought he looked quite cool in it. He studied himself in the mirror and didn't seem assured so I continued to compliment. To be honest even I wasn't convinced he could carry this Heisenberg off at first as it is so different from what I was used to seeing him wear. He is a hat lover but tends to wear baseball and straw wide brimmed hats in the summer and wool in the winter. Guess what though, after his first tentative outing in it he has never left the house since without it on his head.It is a perfect fit, great colour, and looks to be worth more than it was purchased for and it keeps his head warm, (so he tells me). It makes him look younger and more stylish. Him happy,me happy.

The hat that I received was not as described in the ad. I was expecting the brim to be up in the front and back like it is depicted in the picture but mine had the brim down in the front like a more traditional fedora. After adjusting it a few times and putting the brim up in the front, it stuck and it finally looked like the picture but I have to adjust it every time I wear it because the front brim eventually goes back down after a while. The fit was a little loose but I had just gotten a haircut and I usually have thick hair so overall it's a good fit. Not bad for the price.

The hat is too big for me. My head is 22,75 inches, so I took the L/XL, but it is too big. If I tilt my head down, the hat comes off...I didn't want to return it, in case the S/M ends up being too small. So I put it in hot water and blowdried it to try and make it shrink. It worked, but it's still too big for me... I'm planning on adding a bit of padding and it should be perfect.The brand I receive was not a sakkas as shown in the pictures, but a Epoch hat, although I don't really mind.Other than that, the hat quality is amazing. It is confortable. I love it.

It's ok...basically because it costs so little. I'd be pretty disappointed if I paid for a more expensive hat. Still, this one is doable. It came in a flat box so the hat was flattened. After popping it up there is still a very large wrinkle/deformation because it was packaged flat. And not the type that will ever go away. Oh well. The little silver garnishment on the band shown in the pictures is not included. The material is nice both inside and out. S/M is definitely more geared toward a medium head. If you have a small melon like 6-3/4 or so then this will be a little bit loose. Maybe that's the way you prefer to wear your hat though.

I have a somewhat large head. I ordered a L/XL, based on measurements listed on specs. The hat I received came without a size tag, and it did not look large to me. The measurements I took of the hat I received appeared to be smaller than was listed for the L/XL. I returned it for an exchange, and am hopeful that I will receive a true-large and will be reassured if it comes with an size tag that says L/XL. Other than that, the hat was well made and of good quality.8 days after review above, and I returned hat with no size marked, and re-ordered and received a hat that is marked L/XL and it fits GREAT. I'm thrilled because is one good looking topper.

Great hat for the price. Exactly what I expected and what was advertised. I would have given 5 stars but there is guess work for a small/medium size. I have a big ego but small head (go figure). Just a little loose as a fit for any time the wind blows. I like the hat though.

This is a nice-looking hat, and does a nice job in cold weather as far as keeping the head warm.It does wear a bit smaller, I think, than other hats I've purchased. My recommendation is that you order a little larger than normal for you because it is a bit tighter than I would prefer.Overall, though, this is a great buy and a nice addition to my wardrobe.

Bought as a birthday gift for my father and haven't given to him yet. It appears to be of good quality and the style that he likes. My only dissatisfaction is the way it was packaged. I had expected it to arrive in a box but I received it in a grey coloured plastic mailing envelope. I could tell before opening it that is had been somewhat squished. Upon opening I was right the hat was somewhat misshapen. Luckily I was able to get it back to its original shape without damage.

I have given this hat 3 stars because it isn't the product shown. The quality isn't bad. It might get some use.

Great material, very stylish, and perfect for not wrecking my hair in the winter when you need something to cover up

I absolutely love this hat. As a style guy, I was searching for a great hat I could wear for the cooler days and although I love wearing a flat cap, the fedora has become my favourite. It feels very comfortable and makes my head feel warm. Best of all, it goes well with a lot of my outfits. The only gripe I have is that I wasn't too fond of the packaging. Instead of being packed in a box, it was packed in a plastic bag and stuffed into my mailbox. I was worried that the hat would be damaged but thankfully it wasn't. Other than that, I absolutely love this hat. Classy, stylish and sharp. A must have for every man!
