how are the bearings and bushings? Also what is the weight limit?

The bearings are alright i upgraded mine. And I'm a 250 lb football player and mine runs just right

is the top of these boards just plain bamboo color or is it black or another color?

MOST of the top is of black griptape. The bamboo peeks out at each axle end <7", on the top of the deck. You can see the layers of bamboo on the edge of the deck as well.
