Stride Rite Star Wars Vader Light-Up and Sound Sneaker (Toddler/Little Kid)

My son loves these shoes. The sound and lights feature are really cool and adults and kids alike compliment him on them. I have noticed that they are wearing out more quickly than I would have expected from Stride Rite. My only criticism is that the detail stitching on this pair started to come apart after about 4-6 weeks of wear. The same thing happened to the Stride Rite Millennium Falcon sneakers I bought for him previously. So they are the coolest Star Wars sneakers we've found, but I have found they cannot stand up to daily playtime wear long term.

My son absolutely loves these shoes! They are comfortable and well made. However we did not realise that there is a variance in size between Europe and the US, so we should have ordered a size bigger - and would have if we had realised, ie we ordered 12.5 size, but it is equivalent to 11.5 uk size. But - they still will fit for a month or two a and I will most definately order more from this site! They're gorgeous, and really cool... They come in a lovely 'star wars' box that he is now using as a special box for his Star Wars toys.. He loves the shoes so much that he brings them up to his room and sleeps beside them every night. I would highly recommend them.

They seem like overall they are good quality sneakers that would last a while, but just have a couple of minor issues. I found they barely lit up and I don't recall any sounds. My son didn't like them much and they were too small so I exchanged them for a pair of Skechers anyway.I wanted to also comment on the opening and closing on the top of the shoe because I thought that was awkward and wouldn't hold his foot very well. The whole black Darth Vader mask piece actually opens up on both sides and sticks straight up in the air, so you have to velcro both sides back down at the same time which tended to be uneven. Not sure I would recommend these...

My son really loves these shoes, so much that when he lost one of them we had to buy them again since he kept asking for them. The lights are bright and the sounds are easy enough to use that my son can turn them on whenever he wants without assistance. The only thing that is somewhat disappointing is that the sounds only work on one shoe and not the other, making it confusing for him sometimes when he puts his shoes on the wrong feet.

I bought these for my 3 yr old son. He previously had the star wars light saber shoes and those were his "most favorite ever". The Darth Vader sound was super cool and my son was super impressed. The sound did start going on its own and we couldn't shut it off for 2 days until the battery wore out. They do still light up but they don't seem super durable for a preschooler shoe.

The shoes light up and one shoe makes a darth vader breathing noise when you press a button. He was delighted! They fit as expected, maybe slightly big. The fastenings are different, the whole front pulls off and velcros down on both sides. The Velcro is very very strong (good, because that's the only thing holding the shoe on) but its tricky for little hands to undo and fasten perfectly. I often need to help. Other than that, they are comfy, stylish and seem made well.

Well just as I wrote on the other pair of Stride Rite review since I got two different pairs, they'e great! Since i have always purchased Stride Rite shoes for my son I had gone on the website looking for two new pairs for back-to-school but they were rather expensive. Since I am a Prime Amazon member I decided to check Amazon.com. & was I pleasantly surprised. Not only to find varying styles of Stride Rite shoes but at a great price! My son loves Star Wars, so yup he loved these! They fit & look great! They make Darths' breathing sound when a tiny button is pressed & they light up! Who would've thought running shoes with 'sound effects'?!

My son saw these sneakers and wanted them for months! I finally went to order them from Stride Rite and they were out of stock! Luckily I found them here and they are perfect! He complained at first that the Darth Vader face hurt his foot a little, but it loosened up and he hasn't complained since day two of wearing them to school. He LOVES them!
