Like many people who use lighters for candles, lighting log burners or BBQ's i find it incredibly frustrating when you run out of gas and have to find an alternative flame source. With this lighter you don't have that issue. It uses a strong electric arc which lights very quickly and efficiently. The handy adjustable head allows access into awkward spaces and angles. The head position holds in place well until manually adjusted again. There's a great on/off safety switch to prevent accidental use. Even if left on there's a type of fail safe which won't allow the arc to be lit until you turn it off and on again. Ideal if used around small children. There's a handy blue led battery light indicator to ensure you keep it charged. Fortunately when it is charged the battery life is surprisingly long. The item comes with a USB C lead so need to purchase a charging cable. For the very fair price paid, I am happy to recommend the product.

The auto light feature failed after just a few starts, so have to use a lighter. Poor product.

This is a fascinating product. I've read some poor reviews but mine are working well so far. The instructions tell you not to overcharge them. They say when fully charged the indicator light will go out. It doesn't. It stops flashing. Consequently, I may have overcharged one of them! So far everything seems good, they still work and hold charge for a long time. It's amazing how well they light candles.
