Having some candles in jars that are awkward to light when roughly half used this arc lighter saves me from getting burnt.Rechargable it provides an electric arc rather than a flame. It also has a goose neck top. Allowing you to position the arc at varying angles. This extra length and ability to twist the neck means igniting candles in deep jars is no longer an isdue.Build seems decent. While the arc is quick to ignite. Doesn't feel that heavy, and handle is comfort to hold. Good for price from Amazon Resale.

Update: After 13 months of light use it has stopped working.When the igniter stopped working on my gas hob I needed a quick fix as using little matches wasn't ideal and quite wasteful. This gadget works brilliantly for lighting the gas hob and I've since started using it for lighting candles as well. The bendable tip makes it handy for reaching candle wicks that are hard to reach. The battery seems to last ages and charging it via USB-C is ideal. The only annoying feature is the buzz it makes when you use it as it seems to make my dog bark everytime I use it.

Like many people who use lighters for candles, lighting log burners or BBQ's i find it incredibly frustrating when you run out of gas and have to find an alternative flame source.With this lighter you don't have that issue. It uses a strong electric arc which lights very quickly and efficiently.The handy adjustable head allows access into awkward spaces and angles. The head position holds in place well until manually adjusted again.There's a great on/off safety switch to prevent accidental use. Even if left on there's a type of fail safe which won't allow the arc to be lit until you turn it off and on again. Ideal if used around small children.There's a handy blue led battery light indicator to ensure you keep it charged. Fortunately when it is charged the battery life is surprisingly long. The item comes with a USB C lead so need to purchase a charging cable.For the very fair price paid, I am happy to recommend the product.
