Excelent addition to my kitchen
I have used tis piece of simple equipment and turned out some good products. I love it.Like everything that I have purchased from Amazon,it has come on time inspite of me living on a little island, at the right price for me. I would buy more but I have to pay UK tax!

Brilliant product
Bought for my husband who has taken up making sour dough bread.(only thing he cooks)So proud of the finished product when he uses the baskets, looks very professional.

Liners should have been included IMHO
Well made, I had to remove a few fibres as they could have ended up in my bread. My first loaf at 60% hydration was fine with the basket well floured, but the second one at 74% hydration stuck badly and had to be reproofed, Liners should have been included IMHO for the wetter doughs.

Makes bread making so much easier.
I have a number of these baskets in various shapes and sizes. They are great. First let me say DON'T oil them! You don't need to do anything other than rub in plenty of flour. Sometimes the dough will catch slightly on the first use. If you find it has stuck, don't panic. Don't thump it. Just gently keep shaking the basket and the dough will release. If you really want to be sure that your dough won't stick, buy yourself a bag of rice flour, it is the silicon of the flour world. Dust your bannetons with this and you should have no more sticking dough. It is normal for dough to spread a little upon release, but it should regain its shape when baked. If it spreads too much the dough is either too wet or has risen for too long. There is no need to wash them unless you really want to. Get a little brush and just brush out the old flour once in a while. Looked after these should give many years of use and they do make your bread look beautiful. I bake mostly sourdough loaves and would really not want to be without these lovely little bannetons.

Have just used these bannetons for the first time for my sourdough bread. Brilliant. I used rice flour to dust them & it works!
Brilliant Bennetons - very pleased but would have been even more pleased if I could have had 1 round & 1 oval on the special deal.

Love these!
I love the finish these give to my bread dough. I use them for all dough types, not just sour dough. I put non stick parchment on top of the banneton then turn it over onto the metal baking sheet and remove the banneton. Works for me.

Banneton Baskets
I bought these as a gift for my sister. She used them for the first time this weekend. She oiled and floured the baskets, but the dough still stuck, and the bread didn't keep the shape when baked which is a bit of a shame. However, she's going to persevere and is hoping it's because they are new and need a few 'oilings' to stop the dough sticking, so fingers crossed. Oh, and the bread was delicious!
