The Previous Generation Improved Upon Hugely
I am not what I'd consider an audiophile... but I do care quite a bit about what I consider "sound quality". most of what i listen to are MQ files downloaded on deezer (fiio m11plus) or the entire collection of nin live audio files (also on the same device). i switch around headphones, preferring over-ear for the best quality and comfort, but the bluetooth earbuds for convenience and forced isolation when out in public. i love these headphones. i had the previous iteration... and they rocked. but they wouldn't connect with my dap unless i used the adaptor cable (annoying) and, besides, they went through the washing machine. these sound great, fit well (i usually can;t even wear earbuds - the "best" earbuds, the sony-you knows?. so uncomfortable... same with the apple ones)... hell, they are downright comfortable, maybe even a little more so than their predecessors. they are beautifully made, have that nice expensive feel. As previously stated, i'm not an expert, so the following reviews are more or less based on my personal preferences (loud "music" that sounds like noise to philistines, rock, classical, old school hip hop, really old country, and a few real oddball items)... Mostly stuff that, well, all of it requires completely different "flavors" of headphone tonality: the P2 does a truly excellent job at a lot of what i ;iisten to (lucky for me it does best with the EDM/industrial/rock/OSHH; my faves), a completely passable job on almost everything else, and a somewhat mediocre job on stuff like classical, mostly because this is a bass-heavy, ckear and piercing highs, occasionally buried mids AND suffers from an inability to get loud enough, expecially wrt certain frequencies. The quality of your audio device makes a real difference. These sound buttery and smooth with my fiio, but even when i FINALLY got them to bind with my astell&kerns (2) they sounded kind of weak, to tell the truth. Buuuuuut everything else, pretty much, sounded great with these suckers, including my phonea (samsung z fold 2 and 12 pro iphone). i'd say go for 'em.

Bowers & Wilkins Disappoints
I own the B&W Wedge and the Px7 S2e, both are great. The Pi5 S2 earbuds are not. I've owned or listened to many of the top 'buds on the market, and these fall among the worst. In brief, here's why: *Noise cancellation: Hiss! It's very pronounced when no music is playing, and very distracting when there are lulls in or pauses of music. How, in 2023, B&W allows so much audible hiss in $350 ear buds is appalling. No excuse for this. *Sound quality: Mediocre, at best. With NC on, the sound is exaggerated, bloated even. With NC off, the sound is lean, thin, skinny...you get my point. Because the app has no equalizer, you're stuck with either fat or skinny. Again, for $350, and for a company that prides itself first and foremost on sound quality, B&W failed badly here. While soundstage and instrument/vocal separation are excellent, I have earbuds that sell for under $100 that sound better, overall. *The app: Why B&W would release an app with almost no customization or flexibility for a high-end audio device is perplexing. The app does only the very basics, like turning NC on and off, and a paltry few other necessary adjustments. The absence of an equalizer is a huge, and inexcusable miss. Ambient Sound or Transparency are barely adjustable. Spatial audio? Forget about it. I wouldn't buy these earbuds simply because the app is all but useless. *Comfort: As others have complained, these buds feel crammed in. Long listening sessions would be painful. These buds aren't very comfortable (at least, in my ears). Battery Life: A joke. After less than five minutes of listening, the battery went from 100% to 92%. No way, they'll come close to the claimed 16 hours. Again, how can B&W charge $350 for 'buds that, at best, last a couple of hours before needing to be recharged. With so many other better earbuds available--and many for less than these, there's no reason to recommend the B&W Pi5 S2. They appear well-built, but that's all they have going for them, in my opinion.

a little to expensive, and their is no way to turn on noise cancelling without passthrough

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!👎👎👎👎👎
🤬 Ok where do I start 🤔? Ok I was very excited getting these headphones! I thought they were going to be the best headphones I've ever bought but after a couple of days with them I very learn quickly that these are the worst headphones I've ever had The sound is okay I thought it was going to be way better I think because of the company but the worst thing about these headphones is definitely the battery life I mean you let it charge all day you put them on 30 minutes later they're already dying and I just don't understand why the best sounding company in the world can make something so terrible I mean this is a joke and then look how much they charge for these f****** headphones to robbery!

Top Earbuds with very good ANC
I am so surprised at the some of the poor reviews these B&W Ip5's have received. I have hundeds of earbuds, and many top of the line. And I find these hit high marks in all the important categories: Sound quality , noise cancelling, battery life, ease of connection and stability . I always rate Noise Cancelling and Sound Quality and my number on priority . Are these sufficient ANC for Air or Train travel? The answer is a definite YES, as many claim to have Noise cancelling, but wouldn't hold up on a Plane or loud environment . The only negative I have is they are somewhat difficult to get out of the charging case. Yes, they are espensive, but if sound quality is important to you, then shell out the extra bucks, these are worth it!

Don’t last long.
The sound quality is good and the noise cancellation works well. However, the connection is iffy and it will often glitch or disconnect from your phone. The connections for the earbuds to the case also wear out quickly causing the earbuds to not charge properly. Wearing them for long can also cause some discomfort as they are rather large earbuds. Ultimately I don’t think they are worth the price. My right earbud stopped working entirely within a few months of owning. The longevity of these is not worth what you pay. I was really hoping they would be good :(

Great product as BW standard
Pro:havier bass than other BW product,ps:i've owned few BW product already. Sound clearity is stunning, for this kind of class, please don't compare with apple or others lower class earpiece,BW is a proffessional sounding company, isn't like other electronic trash company which makes everything,if you do,B&O or Sennheiser will be the competitor. Also this is the music focus product, for phone calls,i would use other earphone instead. Cons:connectivity isn't like Apple product, when you open the charging case,it will take about a second to connect to your phone,i believe that's Apple's coding trick for other brand.I didn't test it on Andriod phone yet.

Great sound quality but plagued with frustrating usability issues
Was a loyal B&W fan, still own some of their speakers and zeppelin airs and wired headphones, and owned the previous generation of the Pi5 S1s. The sound quality of these blows everything else in the segment away and makes my sennheiser momentums sound tinny and crap. The battery life has also greatly improved compared to the S1s. The fast charging case also really helps with continued use on long flights. However being almost a year into ownership I'm experiencing major usability issues. First, the right earbud multi-function button would occasionally get stuck and double tap/beep nonstop causing my phone to continuously skip to the next track nonstop. I would have to place the buds back into the case in order to solve the issue. The right earbud also has significantly less battery life than the left earbud, and I can only get about 2.5 hours of playtime at 93% volume before the right earbud shuts down. On android once the bluetooth battery life indicates 14% battery you have mere minutes before it shuts down, but the left earbud will reconnect and continue to play for much longer. The earbuds and case also won't reliably charge consistently, and I've had many times leaving it to charge on a wireless charge pad overnight where it did not charge the earbuds but the case light was solid green. I've learned now that if I place the case with the buds in it onto the pad and the case light is solid green right away despite me draining the earbuds it can mean that it's not charging the earbuds, and imagine my frustration in putting in my earbuds before a long flight only to find them not charged at all. The light indicator on the case also no longer turn red at all indicating <20%, only yellow and green. Lastly, my only attempt at putting in a warranty claim for these issues was met with casual accusations of misuse. After voicing my issues with their warranty department, the gentleman casually implied that the multi-function button issue could be due to me sweating on them while using these at the gym. I'm not a sweaty person, and my previous Pi5 S1s had none of these issues while under the same use case and lifestyle. He then asked me to e-mail him a copy of the proof of purchase, and that he'd mail out a kit for sending the unit in. After sending the the e-mail with the receipt(from Amazon), I never heard from B&W ever again nor received anything in the mail. I use these buds quite frequently and it is a hassle to be without them for weeks so I didn't pursue any further, but it dampened my enthusiasm for their products. The frustrations you put up with for decent sound quality.

Nice to listen to music, not for phone calls
Sound quality for listening to music is more enjoyable and full than the original AirPod Pro, but for making calls they are not good and I get complaints that they do no hear what I say which is not the case with my AirPods. A pity really.

Expensive. But worth it.
Absolutely amazing sound quality and product has a high end feel to it. Charging speed is good and they fit great in my ears. Paired easily with my iPhone and love the fact they auto pause when you remove them from your ear. They are on the expensive side, but quality isn't cheap.

Audio pasable, voz fatal
Escuchar música, se puede decir que se escucha bien, pero en cuanto intentas hablar por teléfono no se te escucha bien a ti. Lo devolveré

Acusticamente ottime.

Crystal Clear indeed, but...
Really like the buds. Indeed the sound is crystal clear, and I enjoy listening music with this buds. I bought those buds like the second pair for leisure listening. BUT ... What I don't like is the app, doesn't give you to much freedom on fine tunes, or to adjust the sound level from the earbuds, if you want to control the volume, you need to use the phone (go back where you left your phone, or take it out from the pocket) to lower or rise the volume. I am comparing those buds and the app with Jabra Elite 8 2nd generation (use for gym time, and those are sound great), and on those you can control the volume from the earbuds, also you can adjust the fine tunes on your own preferences, and you can adjust the Hearing Through level, based on your own preferences. I would recommend to Bower and Wilkins to take a look on Jabra app and learn something from those guys.
