Microplane Kitchen Grater Extra Coarse for Potato, Zucchini, Carrot, Apple, Cabbage and Cheese with Stainless Steel Blades - Made in USA

I have two Microplane kitchen graters - the Coarse grater and the Extra Coarse grater. Both perform brilliantly and help save time with prepping various fruits, veg, cheese and other food types. Just be careful with your fingers. These graters are very sharp and their ease of grating and slicing through food means that you can sometimes mistime how close your fingers are to the grater.

This is a superb grater easy to use & very effective in it's purpose.

Before I bought this I had to laugh at the reviews at people who ended up grating their fingers. Grating is about knowing when to stop..... One of the first uses of this item was in grating vegetables for a soup. It dealt with them all with ease including turnip / swede owing to the blades being very sharp. I was very proud of my handiwork but very quickly realised the soup was going to have added extras - in the form of finger tips. Subsequent uses were made with extra vigilance and attention to maintaining the integrity of my digits. Brilliant piece of kitchen kit, but be careful and not cocky. (And you probably shouldn’t put one of those near it either.)

Excellent product, would recommend it to anyone. Sturdy and sharp. If you have a box grater the grate size on this is like the biggest side on the box so even though it says super coarse I would consider this a normal 'big' grater for cheese etc. Each grate 'hole' is about half a centimetre across (2 eighths of an inch) and slightly less than that in height. Works a treat.

Great product (Microplane Super Coarse Stainless Steel). I use it mainly for the younger cheeses (Cheddar, Gouda). I wish I had bought something like this a long time ago. It is certainly worth the money. After one try the old grater went into the bin. However this purchase was intended to be a Christmas present. Well, that didn't happen. It was shipped on Fri 10 Dec, two days after I ordered it. It didn't arrive until AFTER Christmas. Amazon put three products in a box which was about 4 times of what was required. However I do not see this as a reason why it takes 11 working days to deliver this. As a result of incompetency of Royal Mail a 4-star given rather than the 5 stars this product deserves.

Use this daily for cheese, apples (in porridge) grating veg into stews (for little people to eat easier) its very very handy. Easy to grate, clean and not as lethal as i imagined, we all love this device.

Extremely sharp and easy to use. Just need to make sure you don't add grated nails to your cheese. I have a range of the Microplane graters and would never opt for any other make. Also comes with clear, clip-on cover to make it safer when in a storage drawer, but I prefer just to hang it up with my other culinary tools.

These are simply the best. Used them every day for over 7 years now. They still seem as sharp as they day I bought them and are sturdy as they go in the dishwasher every day. From the coarse for grating cheese to the fine for grating ginger, lemon zest. They make quick work of parmasan. They are also east to handle and of course compact. They all sit on top of each other in the drawer with other utensils.

El materia y los acabados cumplen, es una herramienta fundamental en la cocina que seguramente va a durar, evidentemente no es muy versátil porque es solamente una medida de ralladura pero si quieres mantener tus utensilios al mínimo este es ideal.

I love this grater. I have several graters from microplane and Hankel Zwillinge. All are extremely good. But I particularly love this one as it makes grating so easy and the result is in bands like tagliatelle pasta. I only used it with hard cheese and it works amazingly well. It is very sharp, but it comes with a plastic protector. It is so easy to clean, just run warm water over it and it's super clean. Sometimes a plastic brush may be used in the sense of the teeth (otherwise it could grind the brush LOL). I don't put it in the dish washer as I want to keep it sharp as long as possible.
