This magnetic fireplace cover has been a lifesaver during the colder months. I noticed an immediate difference in how much cold air was coming into the room once it was installed. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do—blocks drafts, reduces heat loss, and helps keep the room warmer. Installation was quick and easy, and the magnetic edges make it simple to secure and remove when needed. I also like that it doubles as a fireplace blanket/flue blocker without being bulky or unattractive. It blends in nicely and doesn’t take away from the look of the fireplace. This is a must-have for winter weather, especially if you don’t use your fireplace often but still feel cold air coming through. It’s an effective, affordable solution that actually works. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to improve comfort and energy efficiency during the winter months.

I took my folded product out of the packaging and hung it up with the built in magnets. No issues whatsoever and the draft immediately stopped. This product is well made and thick! It looks great hung up and the wrinkles relaxed within a day or so. I measured and ordered but I still feel that it is a little oversized but it still fits very well. Comes complete with a roll of Velcro. If the magnets don’t work and the Velcro doesn’t work, there are heavy duty grommets along the top to hang with hooks. Again, the magnets are super strong, so I didn’t need to make any adjustments or accommodations. I would definitely recommend and definitely purchase again, if I needed to.

This fireplace cover is really nice and does a fair job at heat retention and blocking air flow. The magnets stay put and the fabric is nice and thick and sturdy. One area where there is room for improvement is in between the magnets, where there are no magnets it allows for a little bit of air to flow through. It seems like they must be made that way in order to save on costs however it reduces their effectiveness. I compared a lot of different fireplace covers and even ordered a different one prior to this one but returned it, however I kept this one. This fireplace cover was the best value I could find and does a good job but I put other fabric behind it due to the small gaps between the magnets. I am glad I bought it and do recommend it for helping to keep the heat in.

I purchased this during the winter storm. It arrived quickly & seems just as described. Very good thick material. I could have used another 1/2 but there was not an option for that so I went with this size. This was the measurement of my fireplace. It is still going to help a lot & I would still recommend this item. It is well made & I like that it has 3 different options on how to install it. I chose to just use the magnet option. It covers my fireplace & does keep the cold out, but you can feel cold air coming from the sides on really cold windy days.

I spent a great deal of time looking for a cover for my gas fireplace to block the draft when not in use. As most have found, it’s nearly impossible to find an exact size. The measurement inside the marble surround of my fireplace is 35” wide by 32.5” high. There is a metal frame within the edges of the marble that measures about 1.25”. I purchased the 36” x 34” cover and figured out how to keep it firmly in place. The top edge of the cover attached firmly to the frame of the fireplace with a little overlap on each side. I tried just pressing the edges on the side and bottom inside the edges of the marble surround, but the cover would pop out on the sides. The marble surround is about .75” thick. So I cut lengths of the Velcro to attach to the edge of the marble surround on each side. I cut the Velcro lengths to about .5” wide to avoid any overhanging along the edge. That might compromise the strength of the attachment. Once I attached the Velcro on each side, I simply attached the cover along the top of the frame with the magnets and pressed the sides of the cover in to attach to the Velcro. The bottom edge just tucked in nicely without the need for Velcro, but I can attach Velcro along the bottom if necessary. As you can see from the video, it now fits quite well. Additionally, the material feels strong and looks great. It’s also thick enough to prevent air from coming through. This cover cost more than some of the others I was considering, but quality was more of a concern to me than price. So I’m very happy with my purchase. Update: Had some windy weather and found that the lower portion didn’t stay in place by simply being tucked in. I put one of my exercise sandbags in front of the cover to keep it in place at the bottom, and I’ll likely put some Velcro along the bottom as a permanent fix.

Just received my cover so this review is solely based off of the quality of the cover and ease of use as well as versatility. Most of the covers I looked at were magnetic only, this one has 3 different means of securing. My mantle facing is stone so the magnets wouldn't have worked. It's thick and feels like it was quality made. One thing to note, the directions say to put the Velcro on the mantle but that makes alignment tricky. I placed the velcro on the blanket, peeled off the tape and then applied it. I was able to place it up and make a great seal with no help, if you have a second person, I'm sure it would be even easier. It's a bit cool out and I could feel zero air coming through. I will update once the cold weather really hits and there is some high winds but so far it exceeded my expectations.
