I needed an ultra-portable tape dispenser, something *one* step up from just whacking a roll of tape onto one of those Tape Hanger Loops that're part of most tool belts. Putting this on the tape, *then* whacking it into one of those loops, is exactly the solution I was looking for. It works *remarkably* well.

Cuts better than other brands I have used. I just wish it was sold seperately as a single or muti pack in 1"

Not as easy to use as I expected. I threw it away.

This thing is nothing but a big joke. It sounds good, but NOT at all. This gizmo doesn’t even stick to the role of the tape. It’s a brilliant idea, but it needs more work to get it right and working.

Purchased this for Scotch 3M-brand blue painters' tape, generic masking tape and cellophane packing tape of various sizes and adhesion ratings. BE ADVISED, the higher the adhesion rating of your tape, the more cumbersome it will be for the cap to smoothly slide along the tape roll, regardless of the cap size or how well it fits. Think of how duct tape "jerks" as it's pulled from the roll even without a tape cap. PROS: - Rigid, sturdy material. Holds its shape even with forceful tears on tape with strong adhesion - Bright yellow color makes it easy to find in on the workbench, in spite of its small size - Easy to switch from one tape roll to another - Small enough to put in pant or shirt pocket so it's always handy. - Great value for three, if they are all effective; not so much if only one works CONS: - The 2" tape cap is too lose due to US 2" tape rolls I use actually being 1-15/16" - There is no value in only one tape cap of three being effective MY EXPERIENCE: * 1" Cap - Measured 31/32" at the most narrow point, which allowed the cap to seat well without falling off the roll, or needing to be adjusted. after each tear. **Worked surprisingly well on the medium-adhesion, generic masking tape, once I got used to how to hold the cap and pull the tape at the same time. ** Held it's position well when tape was torn ** Didn't fall off easily, even when tape roll was dropped ** Worked even better on lower-adhesion tape such as Scotch 3M blue painters' tape * 1-1/2" Cap - Measured 1-15/32" at the most narrow point, which didn't take into account the bulk of a fuller, wider roll. The cap had to be forcefully wedged onto the roll to seat, which left no play for it to advance as tape was pulled. Perhaps 1-7/16" would give more room. * 2" Cap - Measured 1-31/32" at the most narrow point. The tape cap was so loose it wouldn't reliably stay on the rolls in any way that made tearing the tape efficient. HOWEVER, after measuring several rolls of tape advertised as 2", e.g., Scotch "two-inch" tape (blue #290 painters' tape, cellophane packing tape) and Nashua "two-inch" duct tape, it was discovered that none of them were actually 2", regardless of the brand or roll, or the instrument used to measure them. Each "two-inch" roll measured was only 1-15/16". If the rolls measured what they advertised, the 2" tape cap may have been fine. Unfortunately, there's no way for me to tell from the items I received and the tape rolls and brands I use, and 9.99 for one tape cap doesn't seem a good value.

Works as designed. Great product to keep from having to fight with finding the end of the tape.

The cutting edge is plastic

These Foampro Tape Cap Dispensers are great for your various size rolls of masking/painter's tape. They are simply to install/remove and stay in place on the roll even when tossed around in tool bag. No more fighting to find the edge or having to roll/fold over a section or using other hacks like the little plastic bread bag clips. Also, aside from making it easy to dispense the tape, these caps also give you a clean, straight edge when you cut-off a length of tape.

Great tool for dispensing masking/painters tape. Saves tape by having clean cuts on the tape and not having to pick at the tape to find the end or having the tape split while pulling off pieces. Very simple tool that is easy to master and you get three different sizes for tape widths.
