Excellent product
I used this very sticky flashing tape to repair rotting, but very dry wood on the lower half of my summer house doors before - the rain arrived. It worked a treat! I used 2x10m rolls and this completed 8 doors perfectly using 4 x15mil wide strips on each door panel (43W x 47H) Don't forget to allow extra for the overlaps... I used very sharp, long-bladed scissors to cut the required strips and it cuts like butter and is easily shaped. I found a knife 'gummed up' very quickly and did not cut nearly as neatly as the scissors. It's worth having some white spirit to hand to clean your tools. Don't be tempted to pull the backing off before you have the flashing in exactly the right position. Once it's stuck it's a nightmare to unstick! Be advised that it comes off the roll wrinkled and there's nothing you can do to iron them out. You can overpaint easily with water based paint. (two coats.) I would recommend for all sorts of jobs.

Didn’t seem that sticky but 6months later still tight on the brick walls.
I got this to seal the polycarbonate roof against the house. The 6m run was easy to fit and used a small roller to press onto the brick work. Didn’t seem sticky but bonded on the wall well and checked after 6 months and it’s still tight on the wall. Very pleased. Great value for money.

Good product but beware of the size
I used this to create a waterproof bond between the house and a lean-to, but after about 4-5 months it has slipped/dropped off the wall and has let water in during heavier rainfall. I used the recommended Bostik primer (black markings seen in photos) which I had hoped would mean this wouldn’t happen. I would recommend going for a size (width) larger than you may think, as I will have to redo this again.

Important - read the review!
I tried to fit this in relatively cold weather, which I really wouldn't recommend. You need to make sure the flashing tape and the surface you are sticking it to are warm for it to be sticky. I did try a blow torch to start off with, but this didn't work as good as a hair drier. I worked along the roof in roughly 50cm sections heating the wall, the roof and the tape for a good 2 to 3 minutes before starting to stick it down. If you do it right, it will stick well. It takes a long time, but it does work and it is worth it. It makes a good seal, I think it helped that I did chase it into the wall - I didn't help that I was sticking this on a stone built house and the face of the stone is extremely uneven and unlevel. I haven't had a leak since I put it on, so only time will tell how long it will last for. It is much cheaper than lead though so I can't complain.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT BUT HAD TO USE HEAT TO GET A 100% SEAL
SITUATION: I used this product to seal a plastic (polycarbonate?) Corolux roof to two exterior painted brick walls. The previous seal had failed after many years service. The work was done in cool but dry autumn weather. I am a time served DIYer but a first time user of Flashband. PREPARATION: I cleaned off the old sealant mostly with a scrapers. I filled mortar joints where mortar had come away and other indents in the brickwork with two pack Ronseal polyester filler to get a new surface quickly. In some places I had to dry out the brick work with a hot air blower to get the filler to stick well. Afterwards I sanded the filler to a flat surface. I primed the area the Flasband was to cover with the Bostic primer which i think was essential to get a good bond. APPLICATION: Putting the Flashband in place was easy as it is vey forgiving so it is easy to keep in a straight line. I used a roller to press every section in place. That cured 99% of the leaks I had previously. REFINISHING: I went back over all of the Flashband with the roller and gentle application of the hot air blower. I could immediately see that the bonding was better all round especially at the edges. i would always do this except perhaps in hot weather as i then got 100% dryness. RESULT.: Easier to used and better than i could have hoped for. As usual preparation was most important and takes longest.
