Very easy to use and lightweight. I keep it on my keychain. It's main purpose is to call my dog in an emergency situation. We've trained her to come back to us when she hears the whistle and so far she obeys it well after a few training sessions.We haven't had to use it in an actual emergency yet, but we've tested it across and entire park and my dog hears it just fine. My wife lets our dog off the leash and i blow the whistle until she arrives to me. She usually bolts straight to me upon hearing it.

I bought these whistles to put on our avalanche bags just in case there was an emergency. I really appreciate the color, and the durability. The sound is great. We will need to try it out after they get moist and wet from snowmobiling all day. Happy with the lanyard and thankful for a product that can like likely save a life.

This small whistle is very loud!Pros:- Its compact size makes it great for using while hiking, biking, or any outdoor activity.I like the fact that it is made out of aluminum and even comes with a lanyard.- Shipping was fast and had a pleasant experience with the seller.Cons:- On the downside, while the whistle can be ear-splittingly loud, its just that; ear-splittingly loud.The sound reverberates directly into your eardrums because the bevel of the whistle is pointed directly at the user.Overall, I give this whistle (set of whistles, to be precise) 4/5 stars: 4 stars for the quality of the aluminum, small form factor, and very loud whistle sound (since the loud whistle can hurt your ears, I deducted one star). For $8 it is a little overpriced, but you do get two whistles in the package, which is nice.

I purchased these to attach to lifejackets and they work really well. It’s nice that they came with a lanyard. These were easy to clean, and plenty loud. Definitely a good value for the price.

Quite LOUD!!! I attached one of these to each of our Camelbacks to carry during hikes and outtings as extra safety. Teach your kids how to signal S.O.S. with this whistle and they will be heard loud and clear along long distances. Durability should not be a problem as they are made out of strong metal.

I'm currently in the process of training my dog so i got this whistle based off the reviews, and well i can definitely say it's an amazing whistle! It's high pitched which is perfect for getting my dogs attention, the whistle itself is pretty small so its easy to travel with and for the price it works amazingly.

This is more of an emergency whistle. It’s loud as h e l l so it’s more of a human whistle not a dog whistle. My dogs didn’t really stop in their tracks in any of the instances of their mischievous behaviors. It hurt mine and my husband’s ears more than it bothered the dogs. They looked at me more like I was crazy and not as if I was in charge. Lol
