It works!
I live in a condo unit and had no way of using a hose to clean or water my plants. This little attachment changed that. It was easy to install in my kitchen sink and coupled perfectly with an expandable hose, so I can now clean my balcony and water my plants without having to take multiple trips to the kitchen. The plastic push button doesn't seem super sturdy, but it's survived several months of use and I'm confident it will last me a good long while.

(Still) Better than what I was looking for!
I've been waiting years for this! I live in an apartment and have a compact (portable) washer and a countertop dishwasher. With no separate water hookup, I need to hook them up to the bathroom and kitchen sinks respectively. On both sinks, I kept the male quick snap attachment piece attached since it was such a pain to swap the aerator and male piece so often. It didn't look nice, and the water came out forcefully through the quick snap piece which caused a lot of splashback if I wasn't careful, but it was easier than unscrewing the aerator, screwing on the male piece, snapping it together, and then reversing the process. I came across this while looking for a female piece that was just an aerator. I didn't find it, but I found this! The aerator is great: works well, and it looks nice. I bought one to try it out, and it worked so well that I bought a second one right away. So far it works well in regards to the quick attach/release function as well as the aerator. I wish I could order the pieces separately, but otherwise it works great.Update 12/26/2016 (14 months later):Today, the one hooked up to my portable washer hose broke. It was fine during the first load, and it broke after I started the second load. The clamp (the orange part that says "PUSH") wouldn't stay on with the water on. When I got it back on and slowly turned on the tap, pieces of the black male piece cracked off right above the opening for the orange clamp. I've been using it a few times a week for over a year, so it comes out to maybe $1/month. Disappointed, but I would still get another. I love this product, and I haven't found anything else that does what this product does. Claber has a two-year warranty. I wrote to them today, so lets see how this works out. (Update: They replied, I had to mail them my broken piece, and they sent a replacement.)Update 2/19/2018The replacement from Claber arrived in decent time. My first one lasted 14 months, and it's only been about 12 months since I started using the replacement, so hopefully it lasts longer. I don't know if the replacement has it's own 2-year warranty or if it's still under the initial 2-year warranty. After I got the replacement, I had an idea that might explain how they get worn out. I noticed that when I release them from the tap, there's still a lot of pressure in it even if the tap is off, so the pressure might be causing the part that latches and holds to scrape against the metal tap aerator before it's fully out of the way, eventually wearing it down. To release that pressure, after I turn off the tap, I turn on my little washing machine. A little water pops into the laundry tub, then nothing (because the tap is off,) and then I remove the Claber from the tap. I won't know how effective this is for another two months, but I'm washing more often, so I'm pretty certain I've attached and detached it more than the first one. Either Claber needs to make a metal clamp (the part with the "PUSH" that clamps onto the aerator) or make some kind of pressure release.

5 Stars All the Way!
I needed to run a hose from the kitchen sink of my apartment, through the living room and out to the patio, in order to water my collection of 40 prize rose bushes. I was a little apprehensive about the ordeal, having never done it before, and also not wanting leaks and problems. This fitting filled the bill and worked perfectly. The instructions are on the box, and there is a clear visual of how to install (which takes mere seconds). I was elated when I turned on the water, and not a drop escaped from the connection. The hose filled up (I ordered one of those soft expandable ones from this website), and lo and behold, I was outside watering with perfect ease. When done, you turn it off, the hose quickly drains and shrinks. Easier than I would have thought possible! This fitting is made in Italy, which is a breath of fresh air compared to 99% of products that seem to be made in China these days. I 100% love it. 5 stars all the way!

Long time user review
I bought this thing back in 2017. Yes, 2017, and yes, it's still on the kitchen faucet! So, first thought: it's plastic. Yes, it's plastic, and it hasn't broken yet! I use it for watering the plants, since I'm in an apt and use the balcony as the jungle, and yes, run a the garden hose from the kitchen through the apt to get there. However, I suspect because it's plastic, it's got a bit of a wear in that it sprays an ever-fine mist right at the connection point. Speaking of wear - it's becoming more and more difficult to actually pop it onto the faucet end piece. I didn't think of it before, but maybe the rubber o-ring is too age and hardened that it's no longer "cushion-y" and this provides the resistance to connecting. Still, though, it's been a while... And now I have two large aquariums to be concerned with, in addition to the balcony jungle, so I'm going to switch to a non-plastic adaptor. But, seriously, this is a simple cheap adaptor that worked far too well and has been lasting for my expectations with the plasticity. I do recommend it! Some things about it- I left the faucet end piece on and it runs just fine for dishes, etc. Also, when done with the house, turn off the faucet then spray out the remaining water from the hose and it'll eliminate the water pressure within it for detaching from the faucet. Unless, you'd like a shower when you detach the adaptor from the sink faucet!

I'm impressed
I had my doubts about this product, but I'm very pleased to be wrong. I was expecting this to pop off with the water pressure or something along those lines, this product is strong and extremely easy to use, supper efficient saves me time just a quick release from the sink, and a quick snap back on Amazing...... I can't say enough good about it.

DO NOT BUY!!
It always leaked. It often popped off. Plastic is weak. Can not use with warm/hot water as plastic becomes weaker. Eventually broke under normal indoor water pressure. Absolute junk.

then the plastic part with a big orange push button (it is a proprietary quick detach and it is of very poor design, it leaks
I bought Claber 8587 Quick-Fit Tap Connector Set to replace original quick connector that came with the portable dishwasher.Claber is made of several pieces: the metal chromed piece ( it has an airrator inside and screws onto your faucet), then the plastic part with a big orange push button (it is a proprietary quick detach and it is of very poor design, it leaks, can not stand to pressure, difficult to snap into place and was full lubricant from the factory, i guess the lubricant was put there to make a better seal and make it easier to snap it on, but it still did not solve the problem of poor design), then there is second, standard quick detach (this is the large orange ring which needs to be pushed down and then released for the quick detached to snap shut. Both mating surfaces made of plastic) and finally black part which screws into garden hose. So it seems to me that the first proprietary quick connect with a big orange push button is absolutely useless - it leaks. If you use it in a garage some where and it leaks or detaches due to water pressure - who cares, but if you use it in an apartment and afraid to flood the neighbors below - i would not use it. In my case it is was a complete waist of money, i disconnected it from my kitchen faucet and at put it away for possible use in the back yard.

Don't waste your money.
If in Australia, don't waste your money. Never fits snug, for the price it's an expensive piece of spare draw junk. But it's "Italian" so it must be good,
