Great Running Shoes
Arrived a day earlier than expected (arrived Friday 19th July 2024). Very well packed and arrived in perfect condition. I find them very comfortable for running and walking with the wide toe box. Great shoes, great price, great service, thank you! 5 stars, would give 6!

best running shoes i've bought yet
ive gone through brooks, NB, Nike Free and many others over the years. I have had mostly success with most of these but the Altra Escalantes are just another level. Bought four pairs of this specific model in different colors so far and I can't overemphasize how comfortable they are for pretty much any activity except perhaps heavy weight training/powerlifting.Also have the Rivera 2 and that's a great running shoe as well. Altras are the best by far.

Not as wide as as you would think
So for the price you would think that these trainers do everything. They advertise as wide foot but they are actually smaller than the normal trainers I would buy at size 11.They are made in such a way where when you compared to a normal size 11 the toe area is actually the same but the part of the heal and arch are actually smaller and feel tight on my foot.So I despite the YouTube reviews they are nowhere near as good as they claim to be

Game changing for my running
Based on Born to Run 2 book, I ditched my Brooks, changed from a heel strike form to a fore foot. Really comfortable, room for my foot to spread. I'm size 10, bought a 10.5 and it's perfect.

Good for tailor's bunions
I have wide, shallow feet and have suffered tailor's bunions on my little toes and Morton's neuroma from shoes constricting my feet. These shoes are the best I have found so far. They could be a little wider but I found them immediately comfortable. The heel counter is very soft and doesn't impinge on my Achilles' tendons like most shoes. The midsole is fairly firm, which I prefer. The shoe seems to have a much better build quality than the Altras I used a few years ago.Sizing-wise, I often go up half a UK size in running shoes to get a good fit without squashed toes, but I found the best fit was my normal UK size.

only suitable for people with low instep
This shoe is only suitable for people with low intep to their feet. Had i known this bfore i wouldnt have placed an order for the shoes.Cannot give a full review on fit and quality as i was unable to put the shoe on to try.Toe box looked like it might have been wide enough but i will never know for certain.

Not as good as the Escalante 2.5
Similar to other reviewers on here, I think this shoe is a downgrade from the Escalante 2.5. There's much less bounce in the Escalante 3, in fact the soles feel quite dead, even compared to my old 2.5s, which have done about 500km. The tongue has gone from being skinny and unobtrusive to being much more cushioned and thick (and annoying!). I love this brand, due to the sensible foot design, so I really hope they improve things for the next iteration, as I've returned my 3s to buy another set of 2.5s!

Like air!
Quality shoe and perfect fit. They feel like air but have great cushion support. Feels natural.

If Perfect were a running a shoe
I'm truly not huge runner but I do alot of walking. I'm not an easy fit; got plywood flat feet lol and not many companies carry a 12.5 but they do and this is by far the most comfortable shoe I've ever bought; lightest too. Once I switched to Altra shoes where your toes are able to splay out like natural and aren't cramped in pointy shoe and that's why your feet hurt at the end of the day. Got nothing but praise for the company

Great shoe for running
Ordered these for my son for a running shoe and he loves them. Lightweight, wide in the toe, true to size.

Great form fixing shoes!
I’m a big advocate for a mid foot to forefoot strike. The efficiency you gain from running in these shoes are amazing! I am an advanced runner who ran Div. 1 cross country and track and I wanted to test a zero drop shoe because my hips and knees were starting to wear. It takes a few weeks to get used to if you heel strike some but once you harden you calves and ankles these shoes will make a world of difference. I would recommend cycling your shoes every other day with the shoes you currently own to help aid in the transitioning process initially.

Great Shoe's!!!
Comfortable and fits well in the heel without being narrow or tight in the toes/forefoot. Love these shoes! Only thing is I Wish they had better colors like a black on black. Not a fan of the white sole. Great everday shoe though!!
