Amazon Fire Max 11 tablet (newest gen), our most powerful tablet yet, vivid 11" display, octa-core processor, 4 GB RAM, 14-hr battery life, 64 GB, Grey, with Ads

I bought this tablet the Fire Max 11 on impulse as it was discounted quite a bit. I had read some reviews which were quite mixed mainly due to the locked down OS and lack of important apps such as Gmail and Utube. However I went ahead and bought because I currently use Prime and my old kindle Oasis was getting long in the tooth and I liked the idea to look at some books and mags in Colour (Very nice colours actually). I got a three month subscription to Kindle unlimited and am very impressed so far with the content especially access to some excellent magazines. I just love reading books on it especially with the larger screen. Still havn't tried Audible books but I'm sure it will work fine. I've found the Prime videos a bit darker than I like but otherwise very viewable when I can't get near our telly. The Silk browser is good enough and actually I can access Utube through that when I need to. Speakers are fine but I can connect my Boom box to it via bluetooth when necessary. Battery life seems pretty solid and I like the USB c connection and being able to add more storage if needed later via memory card.So all in all for the money I feel I have got an absolute bargain and have no trouble highly recommending it.

I've had some of these Fire tablets before and they were pretty slow and annoying to use with poor screen and speakers. After seeing the other reviews on this new one, and with it being £100 on Black Friday I thought I would give it a go, as my son's Ipad screen was broken and I didn't want to spend another £300.Well, I have to say I've been so impressed with this I think I'm going to buy one for myself. My son plays Roblox and Minecraft, these installed easily and work better than the Ipad. The screen is something else, looks amazing and I really like the wide aspect ratio. I also installed parental controls and the amazon kids app and these are also massively improved from previous generations.The tablet is fast too. If you're used to older fire tablets, this is nothing like them. Absolute recommend.

I have had previous amazon tablets, fire 7 and 8, and ended up giving them to my kids. They were too slow to process things, not great at gaming, overall they felt frustrating to use.This tablet fixes those things. Its nice and fast, the games work well, and its a delight to use.I got this on sale and used some vouchers I had, and at the price I paid, im extremely happy with the performance. I also bought the keyboard case and my wife uses it for work sometimes, taking orders while she's out at events.I havent actually used any samsung tabs or ipads, but I cant imagine they perform that much better at the comparable price point.The Pros;- Really nice screen, in both quality, viewing angles and size.- Fast, nippy, great performance to price.- Battery life seems good so farThe cons;- The sound quality remains ok at best. If you want to be immersed in a movie or tv show, earbuds or headphones are reccomended. For general use, its fine.- The lack of apps in the amazon app store remains a con. There are workarounds if you put in a little work, though.Overall, extremely happy with this purchase

First of all, our house has been without a good tablet for a few years and we’ve been relying on our iPhones for online shopping etc. We used to have an iPad then it broke after some years of use. We got the fire 8 in 2020 which was ok for playing videos but didn’t feel to the standard of an iPad.We now have our first child and putting kids videos on is becoming more important and the desire for a bigger screen to look at for shopping, streaming etc. Moneys tight so hearing the fire max 11 is more of a premium tablet appealed to us compared with buying an iPad.For what we need which is entertainment, streaming, shopping and an all round tablet, it’s great - 5 stars. It’s much faster and feels very premium compared to the fire 8. I’m not also as worried if we don’t end up using it much compared to if I bought an iPad. My child will get lots of use. I feel the price is appropriate for what I need from a tablet so good value at £139.99The screen is better resolution and I believe less prone to break, much faster and I can get out of it what I’d want from an iPad. We have Alexa etc so it’s nice how it has features which make it a great home tablet.Bought it for £139.99 on prime day which I feel is a good price and I’m happy with it. My only gripe is that I would have liked to get the the keyboard and cover with it but at £90 (I bought an echo show 8 for £15ish less lol) and not on any offer, I gave it a miss with the hope of it reducing in price in future. If you are looking at it at full price (£250) I’d suggest looking at other tablets and comparing as I feel there may be better value at £250-300.Little options for an alternative case at present (mostly around £20-30 which is pricey and don’t seem the best quality).I get this tablet is newly launched so hopefully the accessories drop in price and more choice of colours are available.
