Worth the Effort
The lightbulb on our old microwave broke. It would have cost as much as a new microwave to have a technician come out to replace the bulb. For less than $20, the cost of the bulb, I was able to replace the bulb myself.Caveat for those thinking about changing the bulb yourself: look at your microwave and be sure you have the right tools to take off the case. Our LG microwave required Torx bits with a security feature to remove the case. These screws do not work with regular Torx bits. Additionally, once I had the case off, I needed to remove a few other parts of the microwave assembly to get access to the bulb. I think the entire process, from unplugging the microwave to plugging it back in, took about 15 minutes. I saved a bunch of money compared to hiring a repair person.

Perfect replacement
Identical in appearance/ wattage/ volts as old one. Fit perfectly in 2007 whirlpool model MT4155SPB-2. 1200 watts. Has worked perfectly for 2 days. Do not know about longevity at this time.

This saved me large Microwave repairman bill
I have a LG Microwave and the only thing that was wrong with it was the light bulb. But they don't make it easy to remove this bulb. It took me an hour to open the Microwave case and replace the bulb. But it was worth it as the light bulb fit perfectly.

Bulb did not match website picture but still worked
Finding a replacement bulb for a 22-year-old microwave oven is not an easy task, and I finally located this and one other bulb. This bulb, at $27, is not cheap but since I had no choice I ordered it. I subsequently found an LED version for less, and ordered that as a spare, operating on the assumption that all new bulbs are essentially junk ant that I would not get 20+ years out of this one.The bulb arrived on the promised schedule and I have installed it and it works. But ... the base is different then pictured, and while it fit the connector in my old oven, I cannot guarantee that it would work in all others. The base pictured on the website has a pair of straight flat connectors on the bottom. The bulb I received has flat connectors, but they have a 90 degree bend in them. They preserve the same 5mm spacing as the pictured connectors (which match my original bulb), but the connector now must connect at a right angle. I had enough space, but if you don't have the space it may not work.
